Hi Steve, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that the team member who drained your fuel was helpful and kind. We understand that pricing is an important aspect for our customers, and we strive to provide value for our services, which can sometimes come with higher costs due to the operational requirements. We appreciate your thoughts and will take them into consideration as we continue to improve. Fuel Fixer Team
The only thing that was bad was you quoted me £330 for the job and when the guy had finished it cost me £400 I wasn’t best pleased with that underhanded decision, so hopefully others will see this review and opt for another company that’s more honest

Good quick service but extortionately priced.

Avoid using this company. I was in a state of panic, and as a woman, I feel taken advantage of. Did I feel ripped off? Absolutely! After paying them over £500, I reached out to the AA to compare their services. What did I discover? AA charges £300 for non-members, a significant difference. It seems this company invests heavily in Google advertising or SEO efforts to appear at the top of search results. As a mother of two young children, ages three and four, I was desperate for help. In my hurry, I didn't shop around properly, driven by panic. They are prominently displayed on Google, advertising a maximum price of £450. However, as often happens, the final cost was much higher. I acknowledge that we accepted their quoted price, but potential customers should be cautious. The technician who attended to my vehicle had minimal mechanical knowledge. Instead of properly bleeding the air from the fuel system, he resorted to using easy start to get the engine running. This method is not only unprofessional but can also significantly shorten the engine's lifespan and lead to severe damage. I strongly recommend contacting multiple services before making a choice. Avoid this company; their service is subpar.

Talk about taking advantage !!! Call centre wanted to charge me £460, when I challenged this and told them I’d been quoted £169 (but waiting time was 3.5 hours hence I called these) they instantly dropped to £250 ! Robbers !!! However enginerr was very good !

The operator was seemingly helpful and drained the tank. However, he was unable to start the vehicle and left. It had to be recovered by a local garage that had had to remove significant amounts of petrol (the wrong fuel) from the filter and told me that the starter motor, which was fine and new(ish) before this incident had been burnt out by the operator. A very poor service and at £450, I would not use Fuel Fixer again. I intend to write a Trust Pilot review, including the same points.

Good work from the operator who attended very knowledgeable and got on with it. Sadly its the 2nd time I have had to use him. Only downside was the call handler, he inflated the price, but came down a bit when I said I would try elsewhere, It was still very pricey and again the call operator tried to justify the price will a load of jargon, ie filter clean, takes an hour, Yak yak yak ..... I knew what it entailed from previous experience. That is, pipe down filler hole suck old mixed fuel out. Tip in £20 of clean fuel. Turn ignition key, turn engine over ... done. Not pump bleeding, fliter cleaning or any of the other things the saleman told me would happen. Thing is when you need it doing its necessary, but dont get sucked in by a sales pitch. And remember to barter to get a little bit off the extortionate price. ...... + Vat.

I was told to pay a deposit of £50 and I would be billed for the outstanding balance. I paid £100 deposit and agreed to paying the balance on the bill date as agreed with your company representative molly. The fixer was excellent, very polite and efficient. Once the job was complete he informed me I had to pay the balance immediately. This was not the agreed arrangement. I was put onto the fixers phone to speak to a manager, he would not listen to what I was saying, he said your representative had no right to say I could pay the balance off. He as much questioned whether I was telling the truth, and insisted he listened to the recording to verify what I was saying as the truth. I have recently had surgery following a heart attack. I also have other medical problems. The last thing I needed was to have my blood pressure and anxiety levels pushed up, by an unsympathetic and careless manager. The work was fine but your customer service is disgusting.

Job done but expensive and non-trustworthy.... a painful experience with the misfuel, sadly made worse by calling Fuel Fixer: The gentleman who answered the phone (Michaelh according to quote email sign off) was helpful and reassuring but way too salesy. I left the experience having accepted a cost way too expensive (£440) feeling like I had been manipulated due to my inexperience and vulnerability in the situaiton, albeit still my own fault, and he sealed the deal through a hefty and indirectly pressurised deposit (£100). It makes me concerned for any really vulnerable people out there who call them. I would highly recommend getting quotes to compare against or simply not calling them at all. Nonetheless, its important to note that I accepted and the job was sorted extremely quickly and correctly as far as I am aware (the car is working fine thank you). I had to call/chase them myself following the job to pay (having read a lot of reviews about their supposed aggresive chasing). I saw a 10% discount online and asked poliltely if this could be applied having since realised I had 'been done', and that I expected a no, and I was put on hold while the agent spoke to his manager. He then came back to say the 10% was applied to my original premium which is completely nonesense....I would of rathered an honest no, hence I now wouldnt trust a word from them... the quotes are clearly picked off the top of the sales agent's head to work down from, based on how he/she judges the callers vulnerability/desire to barter, and there was no mention of 10% discount on the call or quote email. The email simply quotes the car, location, cost and deposit paid. Knowing I had zero chance of any compassiong or understanding, I didnt bother arguing and I paid the balance. I did however ask for an email confirming exactly what had been done to the car, i.e. what my £440 had gone to so I could hopfully take away some small reassurance, and was told this would follow. ..It didn't. The icing... as part of the cost I paid £20 for a top up of diesel.... suffice to say £20 was not put in.

I was informed I would receive £20 of fuel after my incorrect fuel was drained, I never received this. I left my car where it was due to going to work and then booked in a time slot. They arrived nearly 2 hours after this and I paid £350 for the luxury.

Not to impressed! Spilled diesel all over my driveway and his recovery tank was full and now way to clear this environmental spillage up. Hope doesn’t kill my apple tree!

Service wasn't bad but price was an absolute rip off

Not overall happy with you guys. Very pushy to start with, trying to diagnose my car issue over the phone, without seeing it, obviously as you wanted the job. Then I was lied to, clearly told it was the wrong fuel in my car even though it wasn't. My car still has a fault currently, so thanks for costing me £380. Glad you got your money 👍
