Good delivery and choice of goods but a bit pricey and some fridge items were very close to the sell by date

I was very disappointed with the communication of French Click. 1kg of raclette cheese that I had ordered turned out not to be available (even though it had been in stock on the website). Instead of phoning me to find a replacement (I had ordered several other types of raclette cheese totalling 2.2kg), the item was simply removed from the basket and as this brought the total down to below £35 I was then charged over £8 for delivery rather than the expected £1. Overall very disappointing as I received only half the amount of cheese I had ordered and was charged 8x the advertised price for shipping without any communication about the above. Thankfully Waitrose stock a nice raclette cheese and were able to rescue the situation.

Very sorry about this. We have made two mistakes here, firstly you should have been offered a replacement for the Raclette and you should not pay delivery because we remove an item. Please contact customerservice@frenchclick.com with your order number as the subject and we'll refund it for you.

Generally, it's good, but I wish you would notify us in advance of items that won't be delivered if you have run out. My last order was missing two items that were to be our main course and we only discovered it on delivery. Not good to scramble last minute for a replacement main course. Being told in advance so that we can modify the order would be much better.

The order arrived on time and nicely packed and all the food was tasty. The reason for three stars only is because the Merguez sausages were only just in date - one day before best before date so they went in the freezer which is really no problem but would have liked a longer bbd. The other reason for only three stars is because I ordered Breton biscuits but received Breton crepes which are fine but I really wanted the biscuits.

Il manquait pas mal de choses, j'aurais aimé être prévenue pour pouvoir autre chose à l'avance et que mon fils ait davantage dans son sac..... sur 10 articles, seuls 5 de livrés !

I had made my first order. I was given a delivery date. Then the next day I received an email to say the delivery was delayed due to two items being out of stock. There was no further communication until the package was delivered about a week later, with one item missing. Since this was my first order, I do not know if my experience is common. I think it would be helpful to be kept informed of out-of-stock items (preferably before ordering) as well as estimated delivery and dispatch, especially if there are any delays. The items I ordered were dried goods, so I was not particularly put out; however, I think I would have been very disappointed if I had ordered perishable items such as bread and cheese.

The review is about their billing and delivery methods because I haven't tried the product yet although they look nice with decent long expiry dates. My order was £19.50 on top of that they charged £6.50 for delivery and £1.30 as sales tax. Whatever that means. So far I only heard about the US where prices doesn't include taxes and you only will find out at the till how much you suppose to pay. After these I expected top draw packaging and delivery. Their delivery wasn't anything like their charges would suggest. My hams came in a plastic shopping bag ( the kind you would get in a corner shop ) without any chill gel, I got used to with other companies. I amnot sur but the delivery guy might work for them too. Conclusion: In my point of view is no point to spend £20 their with the additional costs. Would I spend enough to make the delivery cost worthy? Will decide ones I tried the hams.

Very sorry to hear this. You're in our London delivery area, in this area we deliver via our own chilled vans using bale arm boxes and bags, as the other super markets do to. The order will have been chilled in transit. In your case, the driver probably left the bale arm box in the vehicle as it was only the one bag in the box.

Very good service and delivery, great products, everything was very fresh. Only put ; stars because the website is not user friendly, photos are small and ig is not very easy to use. It looks old and should be modernised! Will order again.

The products are great but I was disappointed by the heavy use plastic packaging, including plastic non-dissolvable packing peanuts. I would like to see a shift to recyclable packaging.

Great if you are missing the taste of French products, there is a very extended range of products, the only issue is you do not receive always what you order.

If this review was based off pricing and delivery, 5 stars without a doubt, BUT, unfortunately, on my first order I had an issue, which could have easily been avoided. I ordered a bottle of Pomme Frites sauce, this was showing as in stock on the website, still does to this day, yet it was missed off my order, and put down as "0" on the picking slip, no notes on why it was missed off, no email, no communication at all. I tried calling their phone number, twice at around 3pm in the afternoon with no answer, I then emailed and finally got a response a day or two later (took around 3 days total to resolve this issue - but was refunded in full for the missing item). For it to be my first order, this wasn't the experience I expected, I thought customer service could have been 1000% better, but, for the rest of my order, everything was perfect. Will this stop me from using the site again ? No, I will definitely be using French Click again, I just hope with future order, if anything is missing from my order, I am notified before dispatch.

Items arrived on time but unfortunately our order was incorrect.We ordered two duck terrine two sanglier and two campagne .We received three sanglier instead of two and only one duck rest of order was correct.

The range and prices of products are extensive and attractive. The overall experience was let down, however, by inadequate packing by the supplier and then a 24-hour delay in delivery by DPD, so that the cheese and its chilled gel-insulation had melted and was inedible. Refund was swift and efficient. Well worth a visit.
