“My current tariff was coming to an end and so I needed to find a good supplier at the cheapest price quite quickly. I tried various comparison sites and found "Free Price Compare" quick, simple and easy to use.”

“I think this 'transfer' worked fine. I was looking to improve on the offer which came from Scottish Gas on renewing my tarif. Now they made certain offers which were no improvement at all so I went on-line to look at price comparison sites.. and lo and behold, up comes this Energy plus protection Plus offer which was highly rated, indeed, top rated. Now, on getting back in touch with Scottish Gas, they reveal this much better offer is only available though a comparison site [ie ANY comparison site] so they had done some fancy jiggery-pokery on costs to get this into the top picks on these sites, in the hopes to pick up trade. So.... this was worth the effort; with a slight bit of waste of time having to go through the comparison site, I ended up with an offer from British Gas which suits me fine. How much credit should the comparison site get for fitting me with this offer? I dont know.. Why didn't Scottish Gas tell me this was a possibility with them in the first place? After all, aren't Scottish Gas and British Gas the same thing when it comes down to it? If they were that anxious to keep my custom why wasn't this offered as one of the best alternativres to my old tarif?”

“I had researched everything pretty carefully and came out with the same result as Free Price Compare. I rang them up to switch suppliers and I was delighted with the service I got. The gentleman I spoke to waited on the phone until we were both sure that the switch went through successfully which it did!!”
