Absolutely love Farmison , and have ordered many times over the years. But i have had my first disappointment. The Steak & Kidney suet puddings, were disappointing. There were no kidneys at all, and the beef was shredded, not in little chunks, also the seasoning was not quite right. To not have any kidneys, i can only assume that something went wrong! Also it says on the website to consume in 48 hours, but the date on the packaging was 18th March, which equates to 4 days, which is great but a little confusing. The rest of my order was fabulous as always. One other thing, can you keep the recipes & how to cook on the website, even if the product is no longer available?

This is a review for the Beef Wellington. All good BUT the quality of the beef very average. basically an end fillet with gristle through both ends. Half was nice. Half was inedible really. I want these guys to succeed - what they are doijgbis great - but would encourage them to make sure the meat is good quality even if they need to charge a bit more. Otherwise they are neither one thing nor the other

Disappointed. Pastry was difficult to cook through in the time given to give achieve the recommended internal temperature. Eventually used the top element in the oven to try to finish it off. Taste was nothing special either. I’ve made it better from scratch myself - just ran out of time this year. Really really disappointed- although credit where due delivery was as promised

The Ox tongue was so very disappointing! I boil & press my own tongue & there is absolutely NO comparison. On the terrine there was so much very tough gelatine as to make it almost impossible to eat & the colour of the tongue was grey rather than the deep red of the home pressed tongue! However the 5 rib of beef was fabulous & would buy again!

I had a good experience ordering a large amount of food for Christmas last year but this year has been a mess. My order this year was terribly packaged and, as a result, the gravy I had ordered had exploded and one of the packs of meat had split. The spilt liquid had compromised the integrity of the delivery box as well. To make matters worse, DPD just dumped it outside my gate, right on the pavement. I understand that its a busy time of year but this is a premium service that you offer, and I have spent a considerable amount of money. Furthermore, I've had no reply from customer service, despite all the reviews indicating otherwise. I will definitely not be ordering my Christmas food, or anything else from here again.

Thought I had ordered a roll of mutton

I ordered from the Christmas shop, but all the food was short-dated. Everything had a use by date well before Christmas, and one product even had a use by date of the day it was delivered.

Used Farmison for a while and generally been very happy. Though received a delivery today, amongst it was a half shoulder of Lamb Shwarma and extremely disappointed. As per the attached pictures more than half of the surface area was skin with absolutely no meat on. The cut was on special offer but that doesn't mean you should expect only between a quarter and a third of the weight to be edible meat. It looks like the meat was cut away for something else. Yet the skin deliberately left on to make the weight up. I have taken pictures but won't let me upload on my phone.

Going to give 2 stars as not 100% Farmison's fault but incredibly frustrating to have zero communication where a delivery is. I have had to chase up myself only to find it's no longer being delivered and will be cancelled. Perfect when it's for a birthday party to feed 30 people. Fortunately they are willing to refund me....

I had such high hopes for the lamb shoulder shawarma that I bought but it was hugely disappointing. The seasoning was very spicy - not suitable for kids for a family - and it did not taste of anything. My husband described it as just bitter. The cut itself was also just rather fatty. Very disappointing.

Very poor experience. I ordered a rack of lamb for a special occasion and wasn't informed until the delivery date that it was out of stock and wouldn't be delivered. There was no phone call to explain and apologise, just an email. The meat we had was ok. Ribeye steaks were very good, sausages were average - no better than supermarket and not as good as local butchers'. This was my first order so I won't bother again.

I was a regularly customer of Farmison pre covid and used to be very happy with the produce I received. I haven’t ordered for a while and there is a massive drop in quality. The breakfast sausages now taste more of preservatives than meat. The bacon was very fatty and didn’t taste fresh. Overall a very disappointing order and one I will not be repeating

Disappointed with how farmisons development has gone, cheaper packaging means that late deliveries are inedible and have to be refused by customers

Had been recommended this site but sadly the meat was not amazing. Delivery was a bit slow (no delivery slots for a few days) and the meat (lamb and chicken) were small and not tender, little flavour, despite slow cooking for the former.

The meat is excellent. However, despite being regular customers and having had deliveries for approx 5 years, with few issues, recent deliveries have been problematic. Our orders of over £100 worth of perishable meat were delivered to a different post code and different address. In the most recent case, our Easter meat delivery, including a turkey, was due on 28th March and around 4pm we received a photo showing where our Easter meat had been left and it was definitely not our house or any of our neighbours. We contacted customer services who contacted DPD but we heard nothing more from either. Since our guests were due the next day we had to drive around our town to seek out the house from the photo of where it was left which took over an hour. Very disappointing, this has negatively impacted our confidence in ordering perishable meat online particularly since no-one bothered to ensure the meat had been found and retrieved. How can this problem occur with Farmison deliveries with satallite navigation, post codes and vehicle tracking? Why have customer services not checked we found our delivery? Overall great meat, unreliable delivery system and disappointing customer service.

Can't really write a review as I've only ordered one thing from this company and they came back to inform me that their Easter turkey crown was out of stock. As it was a couple of days before I needed it I then had to quickly source another one. Disappointing!

Pre cooked 500g beef joint. Supposed to be full of flavour. cooked to directions. Very tough . Wont be buying again .Better to go to a local butcher buy a plain small roasting joint.

I regularly order a picanha (rump cap) from another online butcher. As they were out of stock I found farmison via google. Upon delivery the cut was really disappointing. While I expect a good fat cover on this cut, this item is excessive, much less than half the cut appears to be muscle. The item is natural and variable, I understand this, but when ordering blind online I would expect some quality control and judgement to be used especially when ordering from an online butcher who cites words phrases like "eat better meat" and "We are butchers by trade, and artisans at our craft." I am quite surprised that the joint was cut to within 0.07g of the minimum weight where other online butchers use a more generous approach to the online ordering specifications. Having contacted customer service I was told that my disappointment is regretful but that the product they have supplied me meets the letter of the specification, which it does. It does not, in my opinion meet the hype, language, or pictures conveyed by the website and I am surprised they would stand by it. I wont be using Farmison again.
