Just bought a Farer Universal Carnegie and what a beautiful well crafted watch it is. I tested the power reserve on a full wind and the watch ran for over 63 hours which is impressive. The chronograph sets crisply and the dials are easy to read, a great watch.

I spent a long time researching the market for an affordable watch. Farer stands out from the crowd. The design is distinctive and the build quality of the watch just as good. I am a big fan and will no doubt return for another soon. Thank you.

I have a Lansdell, Elvington and now have just bought the Pembroke Field, I love the Green / Sage NATO . My whole experience has been trouble free as before, I am sure this will not be my last Farer.

Proud owner of original and, IMHO, superior design Endeavour. Have owned for a couple of years and the watch has performed impeccably. I can genuinely say that this watch gets more compliments & comments than any other I own. A blue rubber strap really sets it off. Alas, mine failed me where the pin of the catch threads through, but Farer did me a more than fair (Fare?) deal on a replacement despite the age of the original. Given the quality of the rubber, I am inclined to believe my experience was just bad luck.

I purchased the Farer Lomond Field Watch just under 2 weeks ago. I’m particular on fit i.e. a watch that does not sit too high, feel small, too thick, too much bezel etc. My wrist size is 7.2”; I’m over 6’ and fairly slender (lanky in arms and legs). I really liked the look of this watch; the very cool use of colours, dial; case a little off center so to provide a discreet crown guard, lug arms a hair wider on the right, and what looked to be pretty good quality all around. Most of all, I wanted a solid field watch under 40mm, around 12mm thick (not too thin or thick as like my 38mm alpinist with its higher crystal!) and under 46mm lug to lug (very similar in size to the SARB033/035 but just a hair bigger circumference or like my first watch, the Citizen BM5030-53). I live in Canada, a big Seiko fan so, to purchase from Farer based on what I’ve seen on their site (and a reasonably new watch company), it was a gamble for me. After a few emails/inquires back and forth to Farer, I pulled the trigger and swallowed. Figured, that worst case, I lose cost on shipping to send it back not to mention chasing down duties. Within 2 days, I received the watch. I let the box sit for a while. After a couple of hours, I opened the box but, before opening the Farer box that contained the Lomond I brought out my Seiko 38mm SPB157 and my Citizen 40mm BN0110-06 so I could compare size/fit. Opening the Farer box and taking out the Lomond, the darn thing looked to be near perfect. Since taking a risk, I was expecting to see something that would set me off but, there was nothing that struck me off the top! I checked it again against my two most comparable watches. The darn thing sits right between the Seiko and the Citizen. Bezel, for me, is not too big at all. The dial is clear and clean. Colours (and lume) are excellent (!) especially in the sunlight. Yes, for sure, dates are small and can be shaded by the bezel height but, not a big deal (for others it might be), as I can’t read most of my watch calendars without good light! Maybe the dial could go bigger (larger crystal, lowering the bezel and a slanted chapter ring) but if the date numbers went bigger it might throw off/overpower the overall dial, making it busy. I would not want to compromise the nifty hands and their function; a bigger date hand, with larger dates or longer hands might be too loud/silly on this watch. Fact is, in good light it is fine, if not great. The leather strap (and buckle) it comes with is very well made, if not excellent. I did not even look at the NATO or the bracelet. Initially, the leather option will make the watch sit high but, after break-in, it looks to be a very good, fitting match for this size of a field watch. I thought too, when looking at the pics on the Farer site before I purchased the Lomond that the case back of the Lomond looked to lift the watch and seeing no side pics on the web, I thought this might be the case but, again for my wrist (which is flat) and comparing it with my Seiko’s (SPB159) there is a little lift but, not too much of a difference. I think I would say different if my wrist were more full and rounded. Seiko lug arms on the SPB slant more to give the illusion of meeting ground but the clearance looks to be close from ground to lug (note that the SARB 033/035 prettying much are flush with ground, which is nice!). Frankly, for a field watch with a lug to lug of 45mm and 38.5 diameter, I really think that the way the case back displays and how the lugs are set, is not too bad and fits this watch. Maybe, Farer could have shaved a very small fraction off the bottom and top to drop it a bit (and bring more light to the dates) but, as it sits, I would buy another version if I did not already have a herd. I’m not really too big on a watch that floats on the wrist or sits a too high (an example that I have tried might be the MWC 40mm G10 titanium and again, by just a hair, my SPB159/157… which is saved by the use of slanted arms!). Again, just my take as others I know are very happy with a little higher sitting watch. I wish Farer the best, for they have done a great job (and very innovative) on this watch obviously giving it lots of thought. I hope they keep to the values of being “farer” and making a good quality product vs getting lost in the chase for more $$. Simply, with these two ingredients they “should” do well pending they have the patience/staff/distance to deal with the more finicky sector of the watch market/clientele that comes with it. Short version… it’s a great watch. I would, for sure, recommend it!

TLDR: Happy with everything. Service: Excellent. Did everything they say they will do, with the minimum of fuss. Sent out on schedule and well packaged. The watch - Bradfield: I was concerned that it might look a bit small on my wrist, but the thin bezel pretty much deals with that. Clear and easy to read dial, and one that doesn't look like every other watch out there. It is quite thick, but it works to my mind and helps again to make it look not-too-small. The contrasting barrel looks smart (brushed at the top and polished around the lug ring). It breaks it up a bit. Other stuff: I was impressed by the watch box. It feels both good quality and useable. It's not the ludricrous box you get with an Omega, and is much more useable and practical. And much better than other boxes I have had for more expensive watches. You get a feeling of personal service. A small addition which costs little but means lots in the box was really appreciated. A little bit of effort goes a long way. I'd definitely buy from Farer again.

I Bought my husband the Aldrich World Timer for his 60th, he loves it . The service was excellent, I had the watch engraved and picked an extra strap. Roshan could not be happier, well done Farer .

I bought 2 Farer watches in a week. The first watch I bought was the Farer Bradfield. The second was the Farer Maze. Both watches are absolutely beautiful but the Bradfield lost the end piece of the crown and the clasp continues to loosen. Very disappointed in the quality of what I bought. So far the Maze had been good.

I'd pined after a Farer Lander iii for 12 months before finally taking the plunge and purchasing one to wear on my wedding day, with the date engraved on the back. The whole experience was exceptional. Great customer service, really prompt reply to a question I had. Delivery was very quick and the whole presentation and packaging felt very classy and special. And the watch itself is stunning. I'd read that you can't really appreciate the colour until you see it in person and this is absolutely correct. Utterly beautiful. The hardest part now is waiting 3 months until my wedding day so I can start to wear it!

Whole experience was fantastic, easy to purchase. When I had questions I got answers within a day. And the product itself was amazing, felt proper luxurious when I opened the box, a really well put together package, I bought the Exmoor field watch and would recommend it to anyone. Will be buying another Farer in the future

Top service. Watch arrived engraved an wrapped beautifully within 48 hours. Looks stunning! Not used to winding them up, so this will tax me (maybe should have gone for automatic...). Can't fault the watch or the service.

I recently bought the Farer GMT Ponting watch. Great dial and I also like the brown leather strap it came with. I’m really enjoying wearing the watch, and it sits well on the wrist.
