“Very poor flooring from a Company offering poor customer service. Arrived damaged, but because of tight timescales we had to lay the floor. I complained to Factory Direct and was offered a mere £46 refund, which barely covered the delivery charge. To say I was more than a little disappointed with the refund would be an understatement. Anyway, the flooring is very very poor quality. I needed something to last just a few months, but it lasted just 2 weeks before it ripped. You can tear this stuff easily by hand. I ripped it up and threw it away after just 2 weeks use. How they ever get away with selling such rubbish is beyond me. Really, it’s not fit for purpose and by rights I should contact my card company to get all my money back. Just DON’T buy this flooring. Appalling doesn’t even cover it, or this Company’s service.”

Hi Tim, Thank you for your review. As we discussed, if damaged goods are installed, this leaves very little option for replacement or full refund. Regarding the damage, we have replied to your email for evidence of the damage and would like to establish what has actually caused the product to rip, this budget option is only 2mm and sold as suitable for light use but all decorative flooring items will scratch, rip or tear if adequate care isn't taken to protect them. If you could kindly respond to our email regarding the damage please.

“I'm a long standing customer and have ordered laminate flooring and underlay many times before. However, on this occasion customer service fell below what I'd previously experienced. I have arranged for my partner to collect my order whilst I'm at work, and told her to ring before leaving to ensure the order was ready to collect. She rang and spoke to 'Steve' who was nothing, but rude to her over the phone. So much so, that she felt the need to ring me following the call as she was extremely upset. This is very disappointing as we haven't experienced anything like this when ordering and collecting before.”

“Absolutely first class company. I needed a lot of Vinyl LVT delivering at short notice. I gave them a call and they did everything they could to make sure it arrived in time. The quality of the flooring is beautiful. Even the joiners I had fitting it were impressed with its quality. Excellent Service and Products...... what more can you ask for. Still have half of it to lay but happy with the boxes we have opened already. Thank you FDF for your help.”

“I bought wood for a floor but had a shortfall. This wood was discontinued but Factory Direct took the trouble to check their warehouse and found five boxes for me which covered my shortfall. The staff were very helpful and efficient .”
