“I have been a regular customer with eyeAcademy for years. I spent over £600 on my pair of glasses which snapped by itself. Thankfully the glass didn’t damage my eye. I went back to the store and requested a technician to look at it who treated me like I was making stories up. After having spent significant money with eyeAcademy over the last 7 years and having the affordability to buy glasses, I did not expect this treatment. I took my lens to vision express and they did a great job. Also gave me details on the lenses that were fitted by eye Academy which made me realise I had over paid for an inferior quality lens. It’s simply a glamorous shop and don’t get fooled by the glamour of it. All that glitters is not gold! Never ever again with a store that does not value its commitment to its customers.”

“I was advised to get varifocals. To be honest they were rubbish - most vision out of focus. The shop would not give me my money back so I ended up spending even more money on a second pair of glasses I didn’t need. I had to ask for discount and only received 15 pounds on a spend of over 700. So not very pleased at all. The eye examination was very good however”

“The person who was selling glasses was very attentive . However the worst experience I had when where collecting glasses- it was not adjusted properly and the assistant did not bother to inspect to see where exactly adjustment is needed and only relayed on my explanation. I cannot see properly and have a headache. I will return glasses on Saturday as I am working all week. Don’t want to pay over 1k and have issue with glasses.”

My only concern is the assumption after an eye test that new glasses should be purchased. I would like to have been asked if I would like to look into a new pair rather than be sat down unaware if what to expect. That said, when I did decide to update my glasses, the service and care were excellent.”

“my experience of the staff and service i received by the Guildford shop is second to none ! They are always friendly and i feel they always go that extra mile. Even if the work done out is not up to a specific stranded then they have sent my glasses back to be redone which is such a great quality service. I really feel taken care of not just because i am a customer but the staff see me as a human being , someone to be looked after , taken care of even, that is not found in the retail industry enough i feel . I can not speak more highly of the staff at your Guildford store, they are the 'Rose in Your crown' Thank you , thank them for their GREAT customer service and ; theirs smiles ( just one thing :o) I've got to the bottom of your page and i see you have spelt my name incorrectly :o) it is STRODE not Strobe ... i get it all the time so no problems)”
