“The sight test was quite precise but the price I had to pay to change the lenses was really too high. Also I had to wait more than 2 weeks to have my glasses done, and no one knew why it was taking so long to have them done. Counting that the glasses were ready during my holiday, I had to wait 1 month to have my glasses done! Also, I specifically asked for the hake of the glasses to be cleaned at the lab and this wasn't done. I could go back to this Eye Academy to do the sight test but definetely not to change my glasses (in case my prescriprion changes again).”

“I've struggled with my contact lenses for years, never being quite good enough for me to enjoy wearing them to the point I had completely stopped, and would usually find sight tests rushed that I didn't feel comfortable my eyes had time to adjust properly to all the different lenses being presented to me that I never felt very satisfied in my prescription for long. The staff here were extremely friendly & helpful. The exams were thorough & relaxed. My prescription was triple checked. The optician explained I had a mild stigmatism in one eye was wasn't bad enough to be able to correct with contact lenses, but it helped explain why my glasses will always be a fraction clearer, which no one had ever taken the time to explain to me previously. Very satisfied, the monthly cost in no more than I paid at supersavers, the only additional cost is my contact lenses I can order as frequently or infrequently as I require, & the service is well worth it.”

“I am keen to support a local (not major chain) optician. While I am reasonably satisfied, I really don't like the hard sell all the time. It's very off-putting. Stop trying to up-sell or add extras. And if an extra is mentioned make it very clear what it costs. I feel left in the dark about what I'm paying for and if I ask it seems like a personal affront that I'm checking. I don't like being mugged off.”
