“I would award 5 stars for the initial survey and installation but only 2/3 stars for resolving problems. There was a problem with completing the installation whilst on-site , but it was resolved next day. There has since been problems with the system not functioning correctly. I.E. home going cold. Made appointment for visit, no show ., contacted EPC and on 3 occasions advised I would receive call back which did not happen. Still waiting for call back and problem to be resolved!”

“EPC supplied and installed a Vaillant Arotherm air source heat pump. Throughout the process, all the EPC people we dealt with were helpful, efficient, and capable. Our initial contact at EPC was patient and sympathetic, and he addressed all our concerns and questions, without putting pressure on us. The project planners were very helpful and, despite being extremely busy, responsive and meticulous (especially in their help concerning some issues with planning permission). Finally, the installer and technical managers were simply brilliant and did their best to make the installation process as stress-free as possible. The end result, the installation and commissioning, is, as far as we can tell, flawless. Thank you.”

“When I started researching solar panels and battery backup it soon became very clear to me that it was a complicated subject. Things to be considered included the correct size of the system, was my house suitable, what manufactures products to use, the various methods to operate the solar panels, what type of inverter, the size of the battery and of course the price! When I first contacted EPC I was put in touch with Kai and he was crucial in my decision to use EPC. Throughout the initial stages he was always available and patient in answering my many questions about the design of the system. Most importantly he listened to what I wanted the system to do and then recommended solutions accordingly. The actual installation took longer than was planned due to unforeseen problems. However, the problems were all resolved to my satisfaction and the completed work is neat and tidy. The system has now been operating for a month and the data shows that I will be reducing my electricity usage from the grid by a considerable amount. I am very pleased. Will I recommend EPC to others? YES.”

“EPC have just installed 7 solar panels -- small beer compared to some! They have been helpful throughout - scaffolding and equipment delivered on time and all workmen efficient and helpful . I'm probably their oldest customer ( 81!) but am looking forward to lots of free electricity. Thankyou EPC.”

“We've been working with EPC Improvements for the last 6 months on a project which included a 32 panel solar system and a Air Source Heat Pump system for our home. The whole process has been great from start to finish and whilst there have been some road bumps along the way (as there always are in home improvement projects) we have always felt confident with EPC. A couple of stand out points for me have been that there has never been a hard sell (in fact, the total opposite, allowing us to change our minds throughout the process as to what was best and even dropping a couple of things from the project on their recommendation) and the communication throughout, which includes their amazing knowledge and friendliness in answering (a lot of) questions. In addition all of the companies/sub-contractors that EPC work with have been brilliant as well! Credit to everyone they work with. We would highly recommend EPC Improvements for your home project”

“I've given 5 stars because I could not give 4.5. The whole process of having a Stiebel Eltron heat pump and SolarEdge solar PV installed was, in the end, very successful, and I am 100% delighted with the result and quality of the workmanship but there were a few niggles along the way. Probably the thing I found most difficult to deal with was scheduling and arranging installer visits to coincide with the building modernisation work that was being done at the same time. This allowed the equipment to be fitted into the fabric of the house but I found it very difficult to manage installer appointments that were often delayed or arranged with less than 24 hours notice and the installation was broken down into quite small chunks requiring many installer visits. Synchronising these changing and fragmented visits with all my other site contractors was a nightmare. Of course none of this was helped by the pandemic. However the the system provided for both heat pump and solar is top notch and works flawlessly.”

“Fantastic knowledge of the products available and EPC were willing to go the extra mile to sort out a system that suits. It's not often you find a company that is genuinely interested in the greener solutions journey rather than just trying to make a quick profit. I would recommend Kai as a consultant as his understanding and explanation of the many variables made a complex situation more accessible.”

“Heat pump and hot water tank installation: Each time a EPC improvements representative attended our property for the various surveys they had the wrong layout and one which we'd never discussed. We needed our loft joists to be strengthened to support the new water tank and waited several months for EPC to attend to let us know where the tank would fit so we could strengthen the structure, only for the surveyor to again have the wrong information with him. We later paid a deposit which we were told was to secure the heat pump kit we'd asked for as equipment was becoming more difficult to source, which we paid. When the install was due several months later and only 2 weeks before our green homes grant voucher was due to expire we found out that EPC hadn’t used our deposit money to buy the equipment we’d paid for, and could no longer get the kit we wanted, and only lesser smaller products were now available. We didn't want to compromise on the system and had lost confidence in the EPC management to deliver the project we asked for and requested our deposit back at the end of November 21 and abandoned our chance to use the Green Homes grant voucher. Now end of January 22 we have only just received our deposit back following the senior managements failure to communicate. We recommend you go elsewhere to a more reputable company.”

“From start to finish I had exemplary service from the team at EPC. They were knowledgeable and friendly and their attention to detail meant that I knew I had chosen the right company. The quality of the plumbing workmanship is the best I have ever seen - very neat and tidy. My property, which had no central heating or hot water, is now beautifully warm and comfortable. I would not hesitate to recommend them.”

“We had a great experience with EPC. They were courteous and helpful throughout, talking us through the various changes and application processes along the way. We installed in 2 phases - 3.7kW initially (18 panels) and another 3.7kW a year later, and after some hunting they were able to source some almost identical panels to match the 2 sets up, despite the technology moving on significantly the meantime. The end result is a 7.4kW system which has generated ~10MWhr per annum for the last couple of years. We use a little over 50% ourselves and export the balance, but now we have one (possibly 2 electric cars) we will use more and more, and may consider a battery system to smooth out the flow. EPC installed a SolarEdge diverter to heat our water too. Our energy consumption is half of what is used to be!! The SolarEdge technology recommended by EPC has been excellent - reliable and the app access is great to see what's going on.”

“I had air source heating system fitted. I searched around and most company's where all about the same price. One of the reasons for using EPC was due to very good communication. The fitment was not a straightforward one . The hot water tank had to be fitted in a small outhouse and the water pipes running through my Kitchen. I decided to take my Kitchen apart to make running the pipes easier. All the pipework was done in copper and to a very good and tidy way. The workmen always cleaned up behind them at the end of every day. We where left without hot water for one day, but it wasn't a problem for me due to having an electric shower. The workmen had to stay late a few times. On the last day they didn't finish until well past 9 pm. I went and got them a McDonald.”

“We had an air heat pump installed. The team that came on site were excellent. They often worked 10 - 12 hour days to help minimise the amount of time that we were without heat and were cheerful and friendly. They were happy to explain in detail what they were doing. We were very impressed with the quality of the pipework/install - they took time and effort to make sure that the pump room installation looked attractive with neatly arranged pipes.”

“For most moving into a completely new technology (Air Source Heat Pump) without friends or family to ask is quite daunting. I think EPC had to do a lot of handholding to get me through that. The services has been good and the installation went better than expected. There are always issues and concerns that arise and they were dealt with quicky”

“The customer support from EPC Improvements is first class. They're always very helpful and attentive. They clearly outlined multiple options to me for a complex installation of air source heat pump with radiators upstairs and underfloor heating downstairs. “Communication is ok but could be more pro-active. For instance I am paying a monthly direct debit for annual service cover. I have advised of a small problem with the cylinder overflow dripping - but several months later I have not been contacted. If it was a more serious problem I would chase.”

“Very happy with the installation by 3 experts although it took longer than expected to complete. It seemed to provide us with enough heat to get through the 2nd half of the winter but our electric bills were quite a lot higher than anticipated. Only downsides were we still have on no heating in the kitchen due to the original appliance not being compatible with the system and could have been given more time to acquaint ourselves with the system. Megan the Account Manager was very good as our main contact point in the company”
