“Outstanding customer service from the moment we were met at the quayside. All the literature to the cruise was accurate and informative. The food onboard was five star and nothing was too much trouble if changes to the menu needed to be made. The excursions were first rate and full of interest. The crew were very friendly, fun and professional. The cabins are cosy but has everything you need for a good nights sleep. We will recommend the company to our friends and hope to sail again with them in the future.”

Thank you for your comments Joan, and we're glad the cruise was perfect for the most part! Boats can sometimes present some maintenance challenges as they have lots of moving parts, but we always resolve them as fast as we can!
“A most enjoyable cruise - the crew and staff were always friendly and helpful, cheerful and attentive to any need. The meals were excellent, and congratulations and thanks to the chef. The outings from the boat were well planned and timed, full of interest, and with very good guides. While the cabins are compact, the facilities on board are very comfortable. And the weather was very kind to us, so that we could be on deck when sailing along the lush and beautiful river.”
“The Crew were excellent and handled a difficult voyage very well (unpassable river and medical emergency). The food at the beginning was great but deteriorated towards the end of the voyage - partly I suspect because of the missed pick-up at Gloucester due to river blockage. The directions and information on some of the excursions were a bit lacking. I know some people missed some things because they just didn't know which way to go when getting off the coach. On the whole a good holiday.”

Thank you for your comments. From time to time nature and people's health throw a couple of challenges our way but we hope you feel we dealt with those problems quickly and efficiently as we were still able to deliver the itinerary - just a little delayed! We are reviewing our excursions guidebook which we provide free of charge to everyone to make sure the information is correct. Regarding the food, since late September this year, the menu has been reviewed, and the Chef has changed. We now have the consistently excellent feedback we are used to since those changes were implemented.
“We had a wonderful trip, with the alternative crew, who were great. We were made very welcome and at home. The cabins were small but well planned with plenty of storage and comfortable beds. The wet rooms had very good showers. The food was well presented and tasty, and drinks served very generously. The entertainment was fun, and trips well planned. Even with reduced mobility, moving around the boat was not a problem, and the staff were very kind in moving luggage etc for us. Our fellow sailors were friendly and interesting, and by the end of the trip they felt like family.
Altogether, a great experience, and recommend highly.”

“I have given this 5 stars despite a considerable problem. BUT apart from this it was excellent. The crew were down one person but coped amazingly given the sweltering conditions. Katy and Ethan deserve special mention for being unfailingly cheerful and very hard working. Captain Louis was fantastic despite a lock being blocked and a passenger needing an ambulance, he was coolness itself. The big let down was the food but I will address that in a separate email. I also apologise for one of my quoits hitting a fellow passenger during one of the frenetic quoits matches on deck, great fun. Thank you all.”

However food standard dreadful with lots of disappointed passengers.On the Covid aborted cruise last year and the food was excellent and the Chief talked to the passengers about their dietary needs..Mandy and Ethan excellent but overworked. Surely towels could be replaced on route, not washed in a hot cupboard. Will submit a separate letter concerning the poor food.”
