“A lovely cruise on a very comfortable ship designed for the river. We liked the off boat excursions which highlighted the fantastic history of the area. Holdups for unforeseen reasons were quickly resolved with lots of things for us to do. I heard and saw my first cuckoo of the year.”
“WE took this cruise with some trepidation having had both river and ocean cruise experience over a number of years.
However overall excellent from Steve the skipper to Louis and all of the excellent and friendly crew.
Food was excellent ( one exception being the pork one evening (tough) and the beds were very comfortable Although cabins were small they were more than adequate.
Well done - we will be recommending you!”
“A very enjoyable cruise made ever better by the hard work and enthusiasm of an excellent crew. The success of any cruise is highly dependent upon two things: the crew and the weather: both performed brilliantly. They both made an enjoyable cruise even better.”
“Both my husband and I found you all very friendly and welcoming .We also enjoyed Steve’s humour.Thank you all for helping to make this break enjoyable.”
“We had a wonderful week with your crew who we found most helpful, happy and a pleasure to be with. We would like to repeat our cruise! Thanks for the happy memories.”
“we found the crew to be very caring and efficient, working well as a team.
Their good attitude towards the passengers and other crew members was outstanding”
“THE STAFF WERE COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT.
AND THE SEATING IN THE MAIN PART OF THE BOAT WAS EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. UNFORTUNATELY THE ITINERARY WAS CHANGED WITH ONLY SHORT NOTICE BEING GIVEN. THE TAXI FAILED TO SHOW UP AT THE HOTEL TO TAKE US TO THE BOAT, ONE DID ARRIVE EVENTUALLY AFTER WE HAD RUNG UP. THAT APART IT WAS A THOROUGHLY ENJOYABLE HOLIDAY. DON AND ANNE HASLAM”
“A very unique break. Relaxed and informal, it was good getting to know the other guests. The pace was just right and the meals were all excellent. Especially liked the ever available tea and biscuits and home made cake.
The cabin was snug and cosy and the beds were comfy and long enough.
Good interesting commentary as we sailed slowly along the canal to stop at well selected stopping places.”
“Very happy in every way. Special commendation for Sharron for keeping an eye on things. I can't think of any way in which it can be improved. It was all organised very well indeed - plenty packed in without being rushed. Nice having tea and coffee on tap whenever required.”
“My wife and I had the most wonderful time aboard the Edward Elgar and in fact my wife states that this was her best trip ever! I am very happy to provide you feedback as the whole experience (from booking to disembarkation) was brilliant. The en-suite accommodation while being small was easily manageable and very comfortable indeed AND spotless. The crew were superb (thank you Captain Bligh, I mean Steve 🤗 and Louis, Sophie, Miles and Sharon. The food and service was outstanding in presentation, quality and taste; delicious. My wife Dorothy and I would strongly recommend this cruise for anyone who just wants to watch the beautiful English countryside drift by while being pampered. Additionally, we really enjoyed the excursions, particularly around Tewkesbury, Worcester Cathedral and the Steam Train trip to Bridgnorth and onto Kidderminster. Thanks to all again for making this a most wonderful vacation”
“I think 5 stars says it all. Amazing how you get a quart into a pint pot. Crew first class from Captain down. The ship's cook worked culinary wonders. Just a pity you can't blot out the industrial wasteland as you sail out of Gloucester. Expect to welcome us back with our American friends next May for a longer voyage. We are looking forward to it. Best wishes for Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sorry we mssed the prize draw.
