“We enjoyed the cruise very much the crew were exceptional and to have Richard the owner carry you bags on board proved everyone gets involved.
One point about the cabin two A/C outlet point one over each bed would be great.
Thank you to a great crew.”
“As a single traveller one of the best cruises I have been on. Clean and comfortable cabin with a very comfortable bed, slept like a log, good imaginative food, beautifully served, and a very friendly helpful crew. The River Severn is quiet and restful and I came home feeling completely refreshed.”
“Great ship, excellent crew - nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely relaxing time cruising down the river with all trips included in the price with transport provided if more than 500 yards! Miles the chef was great, catering for all dietary needs, including my dislike of fish so I was offered alternatives. How lovely meals came out of that small kitchen was incredible. Home made cake for afternoon tea was really tasty and light.
One last word for the crew - they were all lovely, friendly and ready for a laugh. The cruise is more for, shall we say, the mature person!”
“A wonderful relaxing voyage with good, attentive crew. Everything worked like clockwork. The meals were excellent. The onshore tours showed a part of the country not known to us and the Captain's commentary, with his local knowledge, added some colour. Many thanks.”
“This was a first rate holiday in every way. Great boat, everything well thought peaceful river on our return to Gloucester in bright sunlight, with herons, hawks, sand martins and other birds watching! Thoroughly relaxing and worth every penny! Thankyou!”
“A well organised short cruise with cheerful helpful staff and a captain with a sense of humour. The food was good and varied. An enjoyable short break in an interesting part of the country.”
“a small boat but lots of interest going on . Problems of high water on the river got over very well and no lack of attractive views and places to visit . Good food well served . Happy crew and happier guests !”
“Thank you for a very enjoyable relaxing holiday for our 60th Wedding Anniversary. It was remarkable to see how the crew members worked so very well together, as a team, to make the trip special for all of us. Thanks too for the 'Captain' who made sure we were safe at all times. Hope to see you again next year. Yvonne and Cliff Furniss”
“Whilst the wet weather was not the fault of English Holiday cruises it affected this holiday badly. If we had wanted coach tours we would have booked one.
However we appreciated the efforts made to present an acceptable alternative programme”
“We had a really lovely break. The itinerary had to be changed at the last moment due to the weather but the trip was superb.
The crew could not have been any friendlier or more helpful and the food was excellent.
If you haven't tried it go, if you have been you will want to go again”
“Despite the constant rain and inevitable change of itinerary, we had a most enjoyable week.Where we could not sail, we were taken by coach, and well informed in advance. On board, we were fed to a very high standard, and dietary needs absorbed into the menu. All the crew were extremely helpful and friendly, and worked very hard. If only the sun had shone more often, things would have been perfect.ikj”
“We couldn't have had a more cohesive and happy crew. Neither flood nor sickness failed to make a dent in their determination to give us the best holiday experience that circumstances permitted. A happy boat!”
“Sadly the weather has a major impact on our holiday. Due to flooding on the Severn our Cruise holiday became a minibus holiday in parts. The Severn was closed for the second half of our holiday. The food on the cruise was excellent but the cabins are very cramped. On Sunday morning, our last day, we were able to sit on the roof deck and enjoy the view for the only time during the cruise for a couple of hours before embarkation.”
“Although the river was not on our side. We had a fantastic holiday. We did all that we should have only in the wrong order. The crew could not have more helpful, they were there when you wanted them and had all the answers. They were all very cheerful and helped one another when necessary. Very hard working under difficult circumstances. Thanks to all.”
“The weather was awful, and the accompanying floods played havoc with the programme. However, the staff reacted quickly and efficiently, arranging coach trips to alternative venues (or alternative routes). Their nifty footwork and cheery disposition saved the holiday.”
