“Engine restorers fowler road ilford avoid as they will tell you it's 1 price increase it once it's in bits then just chuck your stuff back in the engine bay so no one else can work on it said items were damaged and needed replacing but the lied”

“The website itself is good, I received multiple quotes but there isn't a vetting process for sellers or support for buyers. I was quoted for a "complete" engine with 3 months warranty, I received the engine with multiple cut components, so miss use of the terminology complete they claimed it only main engine components, so not actually a complete engine. After installation it developed an injector issue. I have attempted to call, message and write to the seller, to offer sufficient chance to rectify. He refuses to liaise with myself, warranty is only relevant when actually honoured. DO NOT BUY FROM Northwest Engines and gearboxes Address: 4, Lever Bridge Mills, Radcliffe Rd., Darcy Lever, Bolton BL3 1RU”

“Bought an engine from Moorley Street Garage, it was absolutely trouble and nothing else. Firsly, they sent a wrong engine, after week and a half wait they have sent another engine that has been wrongly rebuilt... Paid £5200 for it, fighting to get my money back now. Stay away from them.”

“Northwest engines and gearboxes Bolton are absolutely diabolical. Paid money in May. Engine arrived but was disgusting. Said no problem we will arrange a new one. What a joke still waiting 6 weeks later. Won't answer phone constant false promises . SHOULD NEVER BE ON THIS SITE. Liars that's all they are. Avoid this awful company. For your own sake”

“They are absolutely rubbish do not use them for engines recommendations, they do not vet the engine supplier as Ive found out. They do reply to emails or respond to telephone calls, so how can they with a issue you have with a supplier. North West Engines and Gearbox Ltd were recommended and sent out a engine that was faulty from the first turn of the key. Lee and Martin promise to sort it out and give a refund but dont hold your breath. Liers the pair of them, see you in court”

“The company l used ,nwautotechz, are completely useless.l paid for the engine two weeks ago and was told it take between 3 and 5 days for delivery.After several phone calls and assurances that my engine was out for delivery,l have yet to see it.They have basically lied to me every time l have contacted them .l have now been told in my last communication that it won't be delivered for another 2 days which will be over 2 weeks since payment till delivery.A complete cowboy outfit who take money from you then lie to you.l will never use engine trust again”

“Had my vehicle picked up and taken to engines reborn they stripped my engine and told me it was beyond repair That is rubbish I took my engine to a proper engineering shop and they couldn't understand why they didn't want to do Now I'm left with a worthless vehicle and £15000. Pounds out of pocket so beware”

“got 5 quotes but the one i chose was a scam Engines gearboxes ltd. Took my money delayed and delayed until they told me the rebuilt engine had faults. Asked for a refund which they said would take 3-5 days, then emailed to say that they had put a wrong digit in the account and it would take another 3-5 days. One month later no engine and they still have my money. Reported this to Engine Trust but got no reply. If you get a quote from enginesgearboxesltd stay well clear and don't pay anu money over.”

“Sent engine totally different from the one he sent me pictures. Now he's saying he's given low mileage engine. Looking at the engine it looks very old. Very disappointed and dishonest company”
