“Avoid at all costs!!! Called breakdown in June as car wouldn't start, mechanic arrived confirmed it was a flat battery and battery needed replacing, paid mechanic for a new battery that they fitted. Fast forward to today.....battery light came on, stranded in a layby on a dual carriageway, phone breakdown....they won't come out unless I pay upfront as we have had a starting issue before and this could be due to the same issue!!! We had the battery replaced by them......how on earth could it be the same thing!!! Female on my own and they wouldn't come out unless I paid upfront and then for every mile if they had to recover the car!! I could then claim it back if it wasn't the same thing.....not a chance. Do yourself a favour save your money and get decent cover not from this joke of an organisation”

“This is the worst customer service have ever received when in needs of recovery of vehicles. Very bad network service. I can't recommend anyone to you use this service. Never meet needs of service you paid.”

“I put the wrong fuel in my car on Thursday at 6pm. I pulled onto the busy roundabout at High Wycombe above the M40 in the rush hour and broke down. I was in the middle of the roundabout with cars hurtling up behind me for over an hour. I had my 86 year old mother with me who had just had a full knee replacement who I was bringing back from the hospital. I called emergency Assist and said I had a Premium contract and wantd to be towed home. I was told that they would only tow me 24 miles and my house was 27 miles away. I asked what alternative there was and they said give us a more local address. I said a local garage if there would be one open but they were not able to help me locate one - told me to use yell.com ... from a packed roundaboiut above the M40 in the rush hour with my 86 year old mother. They said they could tow me home for a cash contract then and there for over £440. I said that was no solution and they needed to come up with a solution. The guy on the phone said he couldnt help and that only a supervisor could and there wouldnt be one available until the next morning. They left us totally stranded.”

“emergency Assist is a joke they should change their name they certainly do Not Assist I Parked my car in the local community centre when I came back car did,nt start Phoned the Breakdown refused to come out my poiicy was for to fix at roadside or take to garage Ended up calling my Local garage where my car gets serviced turned out it was a flat Battery they sorted out the problem car beeb fine ever since do not touch this Breakdown company”

“I left my car at the car park in the Local community centre at 1 O0 pm came back at 5,00 pm carwouldnt start phoned Emergency Assist refused to come out I paid£30,46 Breakdown cover in Jan 2024 got some one my self at the cost of £72 czrwas mot & Serviced”

“these are definetly the worst company i have ever dealt with they will only bring a car to a garage they do not fix it the man on the phone asked so many questions i nearly had a breakdown myself, i could hardly hear him and i don't think he should be allowed to answer calls i rang back an hour later to cancel only to be told by another man it was already cancelled i asked why and he said because i wouldnt give the name of a garage a great whopping lie i did name a garage only the first guy put the phone down on me please please avoid this company they are useless”

“Don't trust them at all especially when you have a breakdown, I was told to look for a garage at 1am when I.had a breakdown because they said they only recover the vehicle 15miles away from the place of incident, imagine with 2 children at that hour, a week later I contacted them to explain this they shifting the goal posts. Be careful when you join them.”

“Terrible company using every excuse not to attend to your breakdown. DO NOT USE AS YOU WONT BE COVERED SHOULD YOU NEED ASSISTANCE. Don’t be fooled by the good reviews, wait until the good reviews need assistance then that will change.”

“They do not bother much about your situation. They only take car to the chosen by you garage. They do not send mechanic on place to fix it if possible. I took Premium Membership but when was time to claim money from Parts and Labor cover they inform me that I need a proof of full service for the last 12 months. From my experience is better invest in full service rather them. They sell false promise. I do not recommend or trust them.”

“So being stuck on the side of the road, I call my breakdown cover company expecting an answer and some help, after all that’s what I paid for! Absolutely nobody answered the call, I wasn’t even in a queue- nobody answered! Absolutely dreadful service!!”

“I have a comprehensive policy which includes home start... This morning car wouldn't start ..phoned up Emergency assist and got a young lady I can only assume was in a call centre in South Africa who told me I would have to phone back with the post code of my nearest garage...this is before anyone has been called out and looked at the car!!! How many of you know the post code of your local garage? Don't use... they're cheap for a reason.”

“Absolutely terrible service Absolutely terrible service, do not waist your money, join AA instead. I broke down in my large motorhome in a very dangerous location, cars just pushing past when I couldn’t move on a dangerous junction. I called these guys to recover me and they wouldn’t help unless I told them a garage where they would get me too close to where I was. I did know the area at all and it was around 5 pm on a Friday afternoon. They refused to send anyone out until I found a garage. Wouldn’t even come out to see if they could get me going and I had premium cover. I told them about the dangerous position and they just did not help in anyway at all and left me stranded. Luckily I had AA cover as part of of my bank account. The AA were with me is less than an hour and managed to get me home. DO NOT use this company, they will leave you stranded and not even call back to see if your safe or anything I fully intend to officially report these to the omnibus. They will not help you when you break down”

“Shocking dangerously inept response when you breakdown. Wont recover you unless you find a garage willing to drop tools to look at your car within 25miles. No national recovery even if that is what you pay for.”
