Ordered in time for pre- Christmas delivery - never arrived on time and had to retrofit other things to get customer sorted for Xmas - when it was delivered I had to spend 4 hours unpaid sorting out things - cost me 3 times more in money than the parts cost. Should have went elsewhere!

I purchased a quantity of 12V 5W halogen capsule lamps recently. I received capsule lamps from 2 different manufacturers - some were BELL and some were SYLVANIA. The SYLVANIA ones are rated at 40 lumens and the BELL ones are rated at 50 lumens (i.e different brightnesses. This looks very odd when you have 12 lamps in the light fitting with varying brightnesses. Therefore I suppose I'll have to order another 20 to get all the lamps the same.

Used Edwardes on line for years but recently their website software has changed. I use a Mac. Now, when I click 'Proceed to checkout' the 'Or pay with card' field has a 'Confirm email address' button which is greyed out. I cannot move beyond this. I recently had to place a big order with another wholesaler because I haven't got the time to call and listen to their staff scratching their heads. It's a shame because Edwardes are otherwise good.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT FAST DELIVERY. They advertise "next day delivery on all orders over £35" and "next day delivery if you order before 2pm" however the courier they use - DHL is completely useless. My first order with them was ordered late Tuesday afternoon so I expected that the order would arrive on Thursday. I had notification that the expected delivery date was Friday and after waiting in all day, nothing arrived, nor on Monday. After contacting Edwardes, it did arrive on Tuesday. My second order was ordered on a Monday before 2pm so I expected the next day. Each time I checked tracking it was being put off till the next day. Then I had notification that it had been delivered to a "Martin" on Thursday; it wasn't my house they delivered it to. On the Monday, with no notification it was going to be delivered, I found a note through my letterbox saying that there was no one home although I was home, so obviously the driver only knocked the door and did not use the door bell. I asked for it to be delivered the next day, then the next day, etc. After further calls to Edwardes, it eventually arrived on the following Tuesday - 15 days after ordering. Terrible service.

I ordered my part based on the model number and the photograph which was identical to my part. However the delivered part partly matched the part number but looked completely different to the one I had. I connected the part which appears to be working OK.

Sold me a door bell "kit" with no button. Had to fork out another £28 for a button. Now I can see that the product description likely came from the manufacturer, and the "kit" bit is some weird adapter no-one would ever need, but it is still the seller's responsibility to describe the product in s non-deceiving way.

Most orders are in but recently some lights took over a month to arrive causing me to reorder from elsewhere to complete the job, they then ignored my emails asking to refund me and finally showed anyway. Then insisted I pay postage to return them.

My order is apparently delay by around 2 months. I understand that this can happen, but have heard nothing from Edwardes regarding either the dealt or progress.

We're still waiting for our order of light bulbs after several weeks. I believe they are out of stock. However we were not kept uptodate, I have phoned once to find out what's happening

Still haven’t received my order. Was contacted by Email once telling me the books would take seven days to arrive. That was almost 3 weeks ago. Itold him I would like a refund but I’ve heard nothing since.

I have always purchased my aurora down lights from you and have had excellent 5 out of 5 service. But i recently purchased mem starter and fitted it only to find needed overload only to be told it was obsolete,why did you not tell me this when i purchased starter ,you said it was only one left on shelves?

Ordered a ceiling light’ but had to return it. There was no returns label and had to return it myself. It cost me £13.00 which I thought excessive.. I rang and spoke to someone but they said it was my responsibility to return the item. I certainly won’t be using this company again.

Bought some mcbs which I brought in an original so that I got the right one.When I got to site ,I tried to fit them & found they were not correct by one letter. Went back a few days later when passing,same young guy who served me served me again,gave me some more ,which I thought this time would be correct.Went to site again & omg once again they were incorrect type. I then went back ,couldn’t find receipt as it was a week since buying them,I was made to buy some new ones ,again I brought an old mob ,which this time I checked to make sure ,so also my fault. The old ones then were thrown away ,waste of money but no apologies ,just took the money & we’re not bothered. Not great service at all. I now use City or TLC instead. Regards Martin.

Ordered a ventilation fan which should have been delivered on 2nd working day after ordering, but I had to chase them up after 4 days and eventually received it on the 6th working day. Not a happy customer. To be fair to them they did deliver within 2 days after I chased the order, but customers should not have to call to query why something they have bought hasn't been sent!
