“Perfect! It's a long time since we hired a car abroad and during our online investigations it was clear that there are a lot of horror stories out there relating to fuel charges, excess charges, additional insurance insisted on etc.
It seemed like a minefield, so we bit the bullet and went with eCarz.
The price seemed impossibly cheap, just £100 for a 5 week rental. There had to be a catch, surely.
We covered ourselves against excess charges by taking out an annual policy in the UK for just £40.
As it turned out, we needn't have worried about a thing. Pick up at the airport was easy, helped by a very friendly lady at the desk who offered us a full to full fuel deal, which worked better for us. She also knocked 10 euros off the cost of an additional driver.
The collection and return point is in the terminal with no long walks.
Within 2 days of getting home, our credit card was credited with the tank of fuel we paid for when we picked the car up.
So there was no catch. The deal we booked was the deal we got, and to be honest our expectations were exceeded.

“Very convenient next to the airport .The car was just what we needed and was comfortable.
Unlike our previous experience with Athol the young lady seemed indifferent . She did not explain the petrol ( we knew because previously a lovely man had explained to bring it back near to empty ) she did not read our paperwork and tried to sell us an insurance we already had . She was not unpleasant - just neutral.
In addition we found the car had no parking disc and we had to go to the Sea Terminal so we could park.”
