“I rented car at Athens Airport from Goldcar. The service was great although it was a bit difficult to find the place to drop off the car as I was doing it around 11 o'clock at night. I my opinion there should be some road signs directing you to the office. Apart from that great service. Thanks a lot.”
“Apart from the normal insurance issue which happens with all car hire, we were very happy with the service. A decent car and even got a refund on the remaining petrol”
“Very pleased with everything about the car it was excellent on use of fuel.
Also the booking clerk at the airport was excellent and we had no problem with language
barrier as he spoke excellent English.
The only problem that we did have was having to phone you to find out who we were
booked with.”
“Easy booking with all the extras you require available. Full insurance at superb pricing as well. I am a very happy customer back to London from a beautiful Norway trip.”
“Very easy to use web site, in fact so easy I thought it was too good to be true. This it turned out was the case because every thing was ready for us when we eventually arrived at the Rent Max depot on McCoy Rd Orlando. I say "eventually," because the car was waiting for us remote from the airport. Relying on a transfer bus which we missed because he stopped at a different bus stop than the one we were advised on. Then we waited for best part of 40 minutes and no one came back. The phone number on the booking form didn't seem to work and as we still had at least 90 minutes of driving through the evening, after a 8 hour flight we took a taxi and paid $30 for the privilege of collecting our allocated vehicle. All that said, it was not the fault of E Cars. Their part in getting this hire was impeccable, easy and accurate. I will have no hesitation in using them again.”
“Easy website to use. Very clear about what is included or excluded. Great price (30% less than using BA website). Great customer service from Thrifty.”
“Site was simple and easy to use and understand. Paperwork was emailed through and was clear and simple to follow. The car hire company was situated in the Airport and although the car was well used this was reflected in the low price of hire for a week. Pick up and return of the car was easy with Record having their own cabin in the carpark area.”
“I had originally booked a Peugeot 308 station wagon. On my arrival, I was upgraded to a Mercedes C190 as the other car was not available. On picking up the car, along the usual annoying sales tactics, I was told that the fuel on board was not as pre-booked, FULL TO FULL, but had some fuel missing, although not stating how much was missing.
On picking up the car, we noticed that some scratches on the car had NOT been marked on the contract document and that the fuel gauge had 2 missing notches. I decided to take a photo of the fuel gauge as I did want to have any surprises on my returning the car and had one of the attendants write on the contract the scratches found on the car. I also filmed the external of the car indicating the locations of all the scratches.
On returning the car at the end of the rental, the first thing that the attendant noted was the missing fuel. I remarked that I returned it with the same amount it was given to me, less 2 notches. Reading the contract, she told me that it was stated that the car had ONLY 6 litres of fuel missing and not as returned. I than showed her the photo I had taken when picking up the car and she agreed that I was misled by her colleagues. I insisted that she corrects the contract indicating the correct amount of fuel when collected and that the same amount was in the tank when delivered.
Thank God for my foresight as I would have had to pay for the missing fuel if I hadn’t taken the photo on picking up the car.”
