“Matt in Gillingham office was good to deal with and I got prompt responses to queries and my request to extend the car hire. Didn’t get car I thought I would but what I did get was fine. I also had good experience with the company when hiring from iit 10 years ago.”

“Vehicle provided met all my needs and was large enough for the required task. The vehicle was in good condition and any previous damage was identified before i drove the vehicle away. Ordering the vehicle online was easy and saved a little money. The vehicle was competitively priced and I would recommend DVR and shall use them again. The staff were courteous, knowledgeable and helpful.”

“DVR usually always deliver on their rentals. However this time around, the vehicle supplied was not up to their usual standard. By this, I mean that there was an unusually high degree of damage on the vehicle ranging from external trims missing to multiple dents and abrasions. As a business user, this was disappointing as it reflects upon us visiting suppliers.”

“I had a minor scrape, and I was very shocked to discover that, although I had paid for supplemental insurance that I assumed (from long experience renting vehicles for decades) was full coverage, I was still billed £500. At £24 a day this is the equivalent of £8,760 in insurance for a year, which would almost buy another vehicle. I am assuming they probably self-insure and this seems to be a rip off.”

Good afternoon, I am sorry if you find the price of repairs unsatisfactory. We did offer for you to rehire the vehicle & get it repaired yourself, but you declined that offer. If you would like a full report of the damage costs we can send this through to yourself. You paid the Collision Damage Waiver which reduced your excess down from £2,000 to £500. This is clearly displayed in the office & on the rental agreement you signed. Please note, you would not have been charged £500 if it was minor damage that would have cost us less than your excess to repair. Thank you Dorset Vehicle Rentals
