“The service at branch is brilliant, the vehicles very high standard. Taking a deposit of £200 and NOT returning that on the same day as the vehicle is returned is disgusting! Four days later I am still waiting for that money that is mine.”

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. When you book online (which you did for this hire) it does state that the deposit can take between 3-5 working days to come back to your account. We refund the money as soon as the vehicle is returned, providing the vehicle is returned in the same condition with the same amount of fuel. Unfortunately, your bank can prevent it from being returned to your account straight away. Thank you Dorset Vehicle Rentals

“We always choose Dorset Vehicle Rentals and have used them for about 20 years. They still have the ethos of a local family-run company (even if they're not anymore!), prices are good, the range of vehicles is good and the staff always helpful and friendly. My only tiny niggle is with the new body damage tablet-based system, which doesn't always work as well as it might”

“I found the back of the Luton van dirty and wasn’t very clean as I was moving house with it !!! Also the employee behind the desk wasn’t very friendly considering it’s the first person you speak to when entering the office ! Sorry for these comments but this is my opinion !”

“BUYER BEWARE - I paid the damage waiver and the windscreen cover. Was unfortunate to have a stone create a small chip on glass during my travels. Sadly the windscreen waiver is worthless as I still had to pay an extra £100 for the tiny chip. Would I hire from Dorset Rentals again, absolutely NOT, no discretion for something beyond the drivers control… a chip like that could have been repaired for much less than £100! … I feel like I have been ripped off! The van was good but the experience with the company and their policy was not. Never again!”

Good morning Mr Blake, When you pay for the windscreen cover you are reducing your excess down to £100 from full price of the screen which for some of our vehicles can be up to £1,800. You sign for this on the rental agreement on collection of the vehicle. Dorset Vehicle Rentals
