“We had a great experience at Dorset vehicle Rentals. The van we had requested was clean and well maintained and was just what we needed at a fair price. The only issue was that the AdBlue warning light came on during the rental. Not a big issue but I would have expected the level to have been checked before the rental. As we had to cover quite a distance, it would have been useful to have satnav enabled although it was easy enough to connect my phone.”

“The staff at the Yeovil branch are always really friendly and accommodating. I feel confident that I am being treated fairly which sometimes, as a single woman, is not the case at all with some other companies. I’ve used Dorset Vehicle Rental seven or eight times now and I’ve been impressed each time. Would highly recommend.”

“Dorset Vehicle Rentals Weymouth. I used the online booking system which is very good and easy to use. This included all my driver's licence details and I did the online licence check as requested. I received my booking confirmation to collect the van at 8.00 on the date selected; I arrived at 8.00 there were 4 other customers in front of me, one person behind the counter dealing with the bookings. He continued to answer phone calls whilst dealing with the customers which held up each person booking in. I eventually left in the van at 8.55 almost an hour after the collection time, fortunately, I did not have far to go but I am disappointed as losing an hour off of the day's hire is far from ideal. I was also asked for my licence again when all the details had already been entered in my online booking? Good online booking, nice van, reasonable hire costs but let down by the slow process of actually getting the van out! Maybe more than one person at the counter to deal with customers and/or take phone calls would be a big improvement. I am reluctant to use them again due to this which is a shame.”

We must see your licence on collection. This is our policy. When you book online you type in your licence details in order to book & this also helps speed up the process of the collection as we have less information to fill in on our system. We are sincerely sorry about the wait - since Covid we try to have fewer people in the office for the safety of staff & customers. We may have been short-staffed on this day but we do our best to keep all of our branches open & sometimes due to this checkouts can take slightly longer. We apologise for any inconvenience caused & thank you for your patience.
