The engineers who came to realign and fix my front doors, which was brought from them almost 7 years ago and not closing smoothly, were great. However, my experience with customer services had not been great. First contact in early March, spoke to a CS staff about the issues, who promised to call me back after she made contact with the supplier, nothing happened. I was away and then called CS again to explain the same issue in mid-April, fixed a date for the work to be done. I was told she would call me a week before the appointment to take payment and all the rest of it. Again, no call back, no appointment confimation at all. I called a day before, another CS staff checked and confirmed with payment made. Made a complaint there and then. The CS staff called after the event to apologise and said she was on holiday.... where is team work!! Would have given a 5 if not for the sub-standard customer service.

Generally good product and service, however, about 35mins prior to the agreed appointment time I was phoned to inform me that the instalation would not be going ahead because the fitter had personal problems. I had taken time off for this appointment and had spent time organising and moving things around in the garages on the day. On the paperwork there are various warnings that if there are any customer related problems for the fitters on the day, the customer could / would be charged and another appointment would have to be made. Evidently this does not apply if the customer is let down for some reason! I was told "thank you for your understanding" on the phone. I didn't really have any choice! I run my own company and I know from personal experience and financial expense, that if I let a customer down at short notice for any reason, I make sure that the customer is, at the very least, reimbursed for their lost time as an absolute minimum. I know that things can happen at short notice which upsets plans, but there does appear to be one standard of expectation for the company and another for the customer! I wonder what would have happened if I had phoned the company 35mins prior to their agreed arrival time, with the fitters all loaded up and on their way, to cancel the appointment? I expect that, in line with their terms and conditions, I would have been charged for their time and inconvenience.

The staff were always helpful and did their best to accommodate me. I was forced to change installation dates because of my own issues sorting out things and they were patient. They kept to time scedules , although there were big time gaps between appointments each time I had to change it , but that is because they are all so busy. Service of site survey and installation of garage door all done competently well. Thank you. Minni D

Service was prompt and the garage door is now working again. I think the request for payment could be done in a less feisty manner. There appeared to be an approach of “if you don’t pay up front then we won’t come out”. No trust that I would pay,which is disappointing and quite incorrect.

A quick and professional job. Small error at end when one of your operators pointed out that a small bracket was bent and asked if I wanted a quote to replace it I agreed but was sent an estimate to replace the whole door which I didn’t want or need.

Overall we are very pleased, there was no pressure selling and the office interaction was good and professional. We were, however, a bit surprised with the fitting team. They did a great job but were very loud in their conversations together although they were aware that there were several of us in the house at the time. The three adults there all commented on it. This is the only reason we haven't given you 5 stars.

Friendly installers, worked quickly. Just wondering if I am to get cladding for the old frame as they did not have the work to replace it. ALso wondering if it is normal practice not to use 3 of the screw holes on the attached photo.

I contacted the organisation as I was having problems with closing my automatic garage door which SWR had fitted some years ago. My initial contact was not very efficient as I was told the person dealing with these issues was not at their desk and will ring me back which they did not do. I rang again some hours later and got the person who was only interested in me paying a £90 fee for emergency call out. The operatives arrived slightly earlier than the agreed time and were very efficient and professional. I have no problem with how the problem was solved but dissatisfied with how I was originally treated.

Apart from a hiccup initially regarding the installation of the door, owing to the surveyor not noticing a gas pipe that required moving, the second installation day went very smoothly and we are really pleased with the door.

Good choice at showroom, being able to try doors was helpful. Staff knowledgeable. With the description and inventory of all component parts we had to be very thorough in checking through - 2 mistakes were spotted and quickly corrected (but would have been a problem if we hadn’t been thorough). Installation very good, pleasant workers, clean. Due to age of house the fitting wasn’t straight forward but a very neat job. All packaging and old doors were removed off site. thank you.

Apart from the delay due to circumstances out of SWR's control, everything turned up as expected. Bo & Joe, the installers, we were brilliant. They carried out an excellent install, and made sure everything was as it should be before they left.

Overall a very good experience, sales very responsive and helpful, showroom visit was good and installation team excellent. However, our Markilux 6000 awning was installed with 4 spreader plates (due to it's weight and our walls) that we weren't aware of in advance. These impact the appearance, and similar aren't shown in any of the brochures or on the website, and has left a slightly negative feeling, we feel we should have been made more fully aware of these before purchasing. Also the communication ahead of installation could have been better - when the expected lead time was up we had to follow-up via the sales team to get updates on dates - more proactive communication at this point would have been appreciated.
