I was apprehensive about choosing an appliance repair firm. I was afraid of overcharging and missed appointments. I couldn't have chosen a better vendor in Domex. Arranging over the internet was efficient, and the pricing is clear (and tremendous value). Telephone support is very good with polite staff. They also call you 15-20 minutes before arrival which is very handy. The technician clearly identifies himself with a badge before entering your home. He was courteous and knew what he was doing, and ran some diagnostics that identified the problem. He was efficient, knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. He also respected the furnishings (ie. protected the floor when draining the washing machine). Even though I've used them just this once, I don't have the sense this is a one-off. They are at the top of my list the next time I need appliance servicing.

Engineer arrived on time, was friendly and helpful. Washing machine will need replacing but there was no pressure selling. Will consider buying new machine from Domex after doing a bit of research on the machine I need. Keith Mason Ealing

Haier wine cooler. Called the engineer out as we had a fault code appear. He very quickly sorted this out and reset the cooler. Cause for this was probably the extreme hot weather we had two weeks ago, causing the machine to over work. Now I know and will make sure a window or door is left ajar should we be blessed with summer once again. Thank you for your good response.

Terrible, terrible, terrible, terrible. Came out to fix my machine under warranty, told me it was infested with mice (although I have proof that I did not have an infestation. What there may have been was remnants from an old infestation but it wasn't current). Never bothered to call me and tell me the job had been cancelled, just left me hanging on thinking that my repair was going ahead. Had to phone them up to be told the ridiculous news. Tried to say that the fault with my machine was caused by mice that I didn't have. Caused massive problems with my warranty company, which I am still dealing with now four months later trying to get a resolution. I would not bother with Domex, there are other repair companies out there that will do the job and give so much better customer service. Only use if being repaired under warranty.

Dear Mr Hall, Thank you for sharing your frustration with us. Firstly, our customer service manager advised you on 13/07/2015 17:11 that we wouldn't be able to assist with the repair which not only presents a health risk to our staff but also unpleasant work condition too. Secondly, shortly after (13/07/2015 17:27) we spoke to you we notified your warranty provider accordingly. Further more on the next day, we additionally responded to Domestic & General escalation team, who promised to ring you / contact you with an alternative resolution e.g. a third party repair, replacement etc. We understand you may feel frustrated but as you can see we have done all in our power as quickly as we could. Also, while we'd like to always go the extra mile we can't ask our staff to work in such conditions i.e. in present of mice droppings , however the fact the mice may not be present. Finally, Domestic & General are going to offer you a resolution so if you haven't so far contact them direct to discuss. Kind Regards Domex

I am very grateful to Domex. My daughter had ordered a Bosch tumble dryer which needed to be installed and placed on a stacking tray atop of the machine, a job which Bosch refused to do. I spent ages trying to find someone to take on the job and Domex agreed. Two engineers arrived and worked in a small and very confined space; in no time they managed to assemble the tray and lift the dryer onto the tray with only inches to spare on either side. I cannot speak highly enough of the service engineer who fixed my fridge freezer, which had intermittantly started making a horrible noise. He explained what he was going to do, made it make one sort of unhealthy noise, when I said that wasnt the problem noise it had been making he listened to what I said, continued to work, sucessfully reproduced the fault noise, fixed it and clearly explained the problem - checking that there was no other problem with it before leaving for his next appointment. I have to say this totally contrasts with the attitude of a competitor called out for a different appliance who said there was no unusual noise being made and implied I was hallucinating and hearing things! I am extremely happy with the service provided by domex, and have no hesitation in recommending them to others

Like many reviewers, I wish I could put excellent. It is usually a headache to get an appliance repaired, but using Domex took all that away. The service engineer was very polite and knowledgeable and at no point did I feel costs were going to get out of hand without my having the opportunity to discuss matters. Domex saved me buying a new washing machine - I am very pleased indeed and will always use them in future.

This is the first time that Domex have fixed an appliance (Smeg range cooker) for me, and 'Very good' should read "Excellent". The engineer (same for both the diagnostic and repair) was very polite and very efficient. He showed his ID upon arrival as stated online. Once the repairs were completed he also showed me all the parts that he replaced. During the diagnostic visit he explained (very clearly) what all the problems were, and how they could be repaired. Communications, from the first phone call to the emails and engineer calls were second to none. The charges were very reasonable too. I can honestly say that I've never been this impressed by any other service company. I thoroughly recommend, and thank Domex for their excellent service.

'Very good' does not do the service we had today justice. The engineer was very polite and efficient. He showed us the faulty part and the one he fitted and explained in a language we could understand what had caused the problem. He cleaned up the little mess he made and even coped with my 2 young children running around the kitchen! Thank you Domex, I would thoroughly recommend them.

I had this company too repair my washing machine the engineer phoned to say how long he would be when he arrived showed i.d itold what was happening with the machine he seemed to know before he touched the machine and he was right machine up and running quickly done as well good company

Engineer great! Found fault straight away but had to order part . 4 days later he arrived to fit new part, even phoning half an hour before his arrival to say he was on his way. Very courteous and professional.

The office staff were very prompt in responding to the call. Availability of engineer to inspect was the next day. Having found fault with compressor in my LG fridge freezer, domex was quick to order and have fixed the fridge within 5 working days. The service engineer Marius was very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. Will surely use Domex again (not that I want to!!!!...lol...) i would rather have all my appliances work well.

I've used Domex twice now (on my rather ancient washing machine and tumble dryer) - all sorted to perfection. Fast response, brilliant service plus advice on how to avoid the same problems happening again. Cannot recommend enough.

Will definitely use Domex for next domestic crisis. Good telephone service with people who knew what they were talking about. They called and texted when they said they would and no being passed around and left endlessly on hold. Engineer arrived on time and did the job fast and efficiently at a good price (replacing smashed glass door of my oven). So... all good. Highly recommend Domex. One minor niggle. Soon after I paid, my bank's fraud department contacted me to say my card had been used to pay a company in The Netherlands. Most likely my payment to Domex, I thought, so called their office to confirm this. The guy on the phone repeatedly denied payments were processed through the Netherlands. Result was 30 mins of my life lost to your-call-is-in-a-queue-hell to my bank's fraud dept - who confirmed the payment was to Domex as I'd suspected. Be good if Domex workers aware of Netherlands link to avoid tedious waste of time. Every other aspect good though.

Hi Angela, Thank you for your feedback and we are delighted to hear that you had a positive experience. We use Chip&Pin card payment provider called Payleven, which use a Netherlands based bank to handle the payments. This is the reason for the warning trigger from your bank. However, it's all legitimate and a lot safer in general. Regards Domex

I've used Domex on another occasion over 1 year ago and I must say the consistence in their service is great. Nice customer service on the phone, engineers polite and call upfront (i guess when they are directly employed and not contractors makes a difference). Also very good value for money, though there are cheaper one man companies, I guess you get what you pay for. Thanks Domex

Excellent service - no drama at all. Was given a next day slot, the engineer arrived on time, spotted a faulty wiring issue that was mended at no extra cost :) More than happy to have my old Beko fixed up and running again. Well done!
