“The company is charging $28 to unlock the phone “to check eligibility” once you finished paying the $28. They charged an additional $50 stating the 1st pay was to check eligibility which I had to pay an additional $50. The following day they asked for an additional $285 cause of additional fees to unlock device for an outstanding balance on the device which is inaccurate as the device has been fully paid via at&t. This company is adding fees on top of fees and taking advantage of consumers.”
Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I'm truly sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the fees for the unlocking service. I'd like to clarify the process and ensure you're fully informed on how the charges are determined.
As stated on our website, the initial $28 payment is for the Eligibility Check which confirms whether your device can be unlocked and determines the correct service needed to proceed. This is a necessary step and the fee covers the cost of this check.
If the Eligibility Check is passed, the next step is to pay for the actual unlocking service. In some cases, certain phones, especially those with outstanding balances as indicated by AT&T, might require a different approach, hence the additional cost.
Our team works hard to be transparent about all potential costs, and these are outlined on the checkout page before you confirm your purchase. It is not our intention to take advantage of consumers, rather we aim to provide a necessary service in accordance with the information we receive about each device.
Since I don't have the specifics of your account or the device due to the lack of an IMEI provided in your message, I would highly suggest using the Live Support feature available on your tracking page. This way, we can address your individual situation more effectively and provide you with the assistance you need.
Let's work together to find a positive resolution.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“FOR THE LOVE OF YOU FAMILY. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. I LOST 78.00. They are making money from the no refunds policy. They do not unlock your phone. At all.”
Hello,
I'm really sorry to hear about the frustration you've experienced with our service. I understand this situation can be quite disappointing. I want to assure you that our goal is to successfully unlock phones and provide a positive experience for all customers.
In order to assist you further, could you provide me with your IMEI number? This will help me to locate your order and understand the specifics of your case. Our process usually includes an eligibility check followed by an unlocking request, and both steps are necessary to complete the service. All costs associated with these steps are outlined on the checkout page before the final purchase is made.
If your order status is awaiting further payment, this indicates that the eligibility check has been completed and we are ready to proceed with the unlocking process. I would encourage you to continue with this, as payment for the eligibility check is part of the procedure.
If there's any particular issue with your service that has caused dissatisfaction, please let us know, and we'll do our best to rectify it without infringing on our policies.
We aim for transparency with our refund policy and I would encourage you to review it to see if your situation may be eligible for a refund or credit note.
If you are unable to provide the IMEI or have other questions that I can clarify right now, our Live Support is also available through your tracking page—they will be able to directly address your concerns in detail and find a resolution.
Best regards,
Charlotte
Hello Alejandro,
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. I understand you're feeling hesitant about the additional payment required for the Remote USB Unlock service after having already paid for the Eligibility Check, which has been refunded.
Please rest assured, the initial Eligibility Check you paid for is a necessary step to ensure that your Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G meets the network criteria for unlocking. As you've mentioned that your phone doesn't prompt for an unlocking code, the next step would indeed be the Remote USB Unlock service. This service is designed for devices like yours that do not request an unlocking code.
We aim to be fully transparent with our fees, and all costs are clearly outlined on the checkout page before you finalize your purchase. We encourage you to proceed with the Remote USB Unlock so we can help you get your phone unlocked. Our customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we're here to guide you through every step of the process.
If there's anything more you wish to discuss or need further assistance with, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“I wish I would have done more research before the initial payment to them. It is VERY unclear that the payment is not to Unlock the phone. Its to see 'IF' they can unlock the phone, what a joke. Then the price goes up from there. They start sending a bunch of emails. Warnings that if you do anything on your end to get the payment back they will permanently put in a block on your IMEI # so it can't be used. Very shady, stay away.”
Hello Matthew,
I'm sorry to hear that the process has not met your expectations so far. I understand that it can be frustrating when the cost and process are not as clear as one would hope.
To clarify, the initial payment you made of $28.99 was for the Eligibility Check to see if your iPhone 8 Plus could be unlocked from the Consumer Cellular USA network. This is a necessary first step before proceeding to the actual unlocking service. As outlined in our terms and conditions, "3.1 All of the services offered on this website are entirely legal in Europe and North America" and "7.3 'Pre-orders' also referred to as 'Eligibility Checks' are not covered by our money back guarantee".
Now that the eligibility check has been cleared, your order status indicates that it is "Only paid for Eligibility Check, awaiting Unlocking Payment", which suggests that your iPhone 8 Plus is eligible for unlocking, and the next step is to complete the unlocking payment.
While I understand the concerns about additional costs, we aim to be transparent with our service fees which are detailed on the checkout page prior to purchase. We strive to provide a valuable service and would love the opportunity to continue assisting you with the unlocking process.
If you'd like to proceed or have any further questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're here to help make this experience as smooth and satisfying as possible.
Warm regards,
Charlotte
“Complete fraud. They charge $28.99 initially without stating that there are more charges to unlock the phone. Once $28.99 is paid, they charge $50 more and once this amount is paid, they ask for much more stating premium service is required. It is simply a scam and fraud. Stay away from them”
Hello Anil,
I'm truly sorry to hear about your concerns regarding the payment process. I want to assure you that it is always our intention to be transparent with our customers about any costs involved.
As outlined on the checkout page prior to purchase, the initial payment you made of $28.99 was for the Eligibility Check. If your iPhone meets the necessary criteria, a separate Unlocking Payment follows. We understand that the process may sometimes require an additional Premium Service, especially for certain criteria which may not be met by a Standard Service. This would be indicated in your order status.
I see that you have already been refunded for the Eligibility Check; perhaps we can assist you further to complete the unlocking process? Our goal is to provide a positive experience and deliver the service you need. If there is anything we can do to help, please let us know.
Best regards,
Charlotte
Hello there,
I'm truly sorry to hear that you've had a less than satisfactory experience with our service. I understand it can be frustrating when things don't go as expected. Regarding the payment process, I want to ensure you that all costs are indeed outlined on the checkout page prior to purchase. Our service requires an eligibility check first which costs £11, followed by the unlocking payment of £24 for your device.
I can assure you that it’s a standard procedure, and our intent is certainly not to mislead our customers. To help address your concerns and assist you further, could you please provide your IMEI number? This will allow us to look into your order and guide you through the next steps in the unlocking process.
For immediate assistance, you can also use the Live Support option on your tracking page to discuss your order status and any obstacles you might be facing.
Thank you for reaching out, and we're committed to turning your experience into a positive one.
Best regards,
Charlotte
Hello,
I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling dissatisfied with the process. I can assure you that the charges you've encountered are part of our structured unlocking service. Initially, the Eligibility Check is required to determine whether your phone can be unlocked using our standard service; this is the payment you referred to.
If your phone meets the network criteria, the Unlocking Payment comes into play. For iPhones in particular, some may require a Premium Service if the standard service fails or is not available. These steps are outlined on our checkout page before any purchase is made, to help our customers make informed decisions.
I understand this can be frustrating, but I would encourage you to continue with the process so we can successfully unlock your phone. Your order status is key in this scenario—if it shows you are awaiting payment, completing it should allow us to proceed with unlocking your device.
If you have any more questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch with Live Support through your tracking page so we can assist you further.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“I paid to have this iPad unlocked for the advertised price of $49.99.
I read all the fine print and nowhere did it say that there would be another $50 charge.
This seems to be clickbait and false advertising.
If it was clearly stated that there would be an additional $50 charge after confirming the eligibility of unlocking the iPad, then I would not be concerned, and I would have continued with the process.
Hiding the additional $50 charge until after I paid $49.99 is unethical and gives me pause to continue.
I will be disputing the charges with my credit card company.”
Hello,
I completely understand your concerns about the costs associated with unlocking your Apple iPad. I would like to clarify that there's an initial payment for the Eligibility Check, followed by an Unlocking Payment, should your device meet the required criteria for unlocking. All costs are indeed outlined on our checkout page before purchase.
As mentioned, the website follows a two-step process for unlocking services: firstly, an Eligibility Check is carried out to ensure your device can be unlocked, and this is what your initial payment of $49.99 was for, although it has been refunded. If your device passes this check, an additional cost for the actual unlocking service is incurred.
I completely respect your decision to dispute the charges if you feel the service was not as expected; however, please be aware that our goal is to ensure transparency and customer satisfaction. If you decide to go through with the unlocking process in the future or need further assistance, please feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“They charge you 2 times. They dont unlock your cell. Just after 10 days says its imposible to do it and give you a credit note. There is nobody in the other side. All the aswers are made from chatgtp. Dont waste your money with this company. They are fraud and scam”
Hello there,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. I’m genuinely sorry to hear that your experience hasn't been as smooth as we strive for it to be. I understand receiving a credit note instead of a direct unlock can be frustrating, especially after the anticipation of having your device unlocked.
I’d love to address any specific concerns you have and assist you in completing the unlocking process, as our goal is to provide a positive experience. To dive into the details, I would need the IMEI of the device you’re referring to, as this is crucial in locating your order and effectively assisting you. In the absence of this information, it's challenging for us to address the specific issues.
I would strongly encourage you to reach out to our Live Support through your tracking page so we can take a closer look at your case and find the best possible solution within our policies. Remember, our unlocking service begins immediately upon payment and the costs involved are explained clearly during the checkout process, including the eligibility check followed by the unlocking payment for your phone.
If your status is awaiting payment, continuing with the process is usually the next step towards unlocking your device. Our team is here to guide you through and provide support whenever you need it.
Thank you for your patience, and I hope we can turn this experience around for you.
Best regards,
Charlotte
Hello there! We're thrilled to hear you're pleased with our service. Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive review. If there's anything else we can do to assist you, don’t hesitate to reach out. Enjoy your unlocked device!
“Totally negative experience.
They ensure a service at a fairly low cost. Too bad that the surprise is around the corner: halfway through the job they ask for another large expense because according to them the first phase should ensure the possibility of unlocking the phone.
Once it is established that it is feasible and the next step has been paid, they ask you to wait for the definitive unlocking.
Final response after 48 hours? the terminal cannot be unlocked.
So what were the initial checks for?
No refund, just a "credit note" that I personally will never use because I don't usually buy network-locked terminals (this cell phone was a gift from a friend).
Non-existent assistance, every time they tell a lot of lies.
I STRONGLY ADVISE YOU TO STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE AND THIS SERVICE. 1000% AWFUL
Esperienza totalmente negativa.
Hello Guglielmo,
I'm truly sorry to hear about your negative experience with the service provided. We aim to offer a seamless and straightforward unlocking process, and it seems we've fallen short of that goal with your order.
I understand your disappointment with the order resulting in your CAT S22 Flip being classified as "Hard-Locked" and that you're not satisfied with the credit note issued. As per our policy, hard-locked phones are challenging cases and, unfortunately, are not eligible for refunds as outlined in the conditions. However, the credit note is intended to offer some recourse and can be used for future services, should you or someone you know require them.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback and the opportunity to improve our services. Although I can't process a refund, I’d like to help resolve this issue to your satisfaction. If you have any further concerns or there's anything else we can assist you with, please don't hesitate to let us know.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“Absolute scamming scumbags they take your money and keep telling you you need to pay more and more and more and do not make it clear at all and will not give you any refund. If anyone knows their office location please post it so I can go there myself”
Hello Calvin Shaff,
Thank you for reaching out and I'm truly sorry to hear about your frustration.
I would like to assure you that transparency is very important to us, and all charges are outlined during the checkout process. For your Galaxy Z Flip 3, initially, an Eligibility Check for $28.99 was required, which you have completed. This was followed by the $50 Standard Unlock service. Because your phone does not prompt for an unlocking code, the next step is a Remote USB Unlock, which is indicated by your current order status awaiting payment for this additional service.
We understand that the unlocking process can be confusing and we're here to help. If you'd like to continue with the Remote USB Unlock to achieve the unlock for your phone, we're here to support you through the process.
Remember, we're committed to providing a solution for you, without needing to issue a refund. If you have further concerns or need clarification, we are happy to have a detailed look into this for you.
Kind regards,
Charlotte
“so these scammers made me pay them to check my phone and verify if it could be. u locked. They claimed they verified everything and said there would not be a problem in my phone would be unlocked within 24 hours. Based on that guarantee, I paid them the additional money to have my phone unlocked.
Today they tell me they are not able to unlike my phone that I need to pay them an additional 200+ dollars but don’t worry because they gave me an $80 credit.
I will be reporting them to this Texas state Attorney General’s office, the BBB, CFPB, And any other government agency, I can think of”
Hello,
I'm truly sorry to hear that your unlocking process hasn't gone as smoothly as expected. I want to assure you that our intention is to provide a reliable and honest service. From your message, it sounds like the unlocking of your phone required an upgrade to a Premium Service, which can happen in certain complex cases.
The initial fee you paid was for the Eligibility Check to confirm if your phone can be unlocked. This process is mentioned in our terms and conditions (section 7.3), stating that "Eligibility Checks are not covered by our money back guarantee."
I understand the frustration you must feel regarding the additional cost. I’d like to remind you that we did provide an $80 credit towards the service, which is part of our efforts to assist our customers when unexpected complexities arise.
We strive for transparency, hence all costs are outlined on the checkout page prior to purchase, including the two-step process of an Eligibility Check followed by an Unlocking Payment.
We value your satisfaction and would love the opportunity to resolve this issue. I encourage you to use the Live Support available through your tracking page. Our team is ready to work with you to address any concerns and help you understand the path forward for your unlock process.
To assist you further, kindly provide us with your IMEI, as this is crucial in locating your order and ensuring we can give you accurate, tailored advice.
Warm regards,
Charlotte
“"Directunlocks is a scam. Directunlocks use clever wording to fool users. You will first see a small amount less than $30 on home page with a button unlock now. Then you will be redirected to a page with another clever wording. You will never get your phone unlocked. You just be moved to the next step, where you have to pay more each time"”
Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. I'm sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. It's important to us that our process is clear and understandable for our customers.
Our unlocking service involves distinct steps: first, an eligibility check to ensure that your phone can be unlocked, followed by the actual unlocking process. We’re upfront about any additional costs and try to communicate these clearly on our checkout page before any purchase is made.
If your order status is currently awaiting payment, you may need to complete the unlocking payment to move forward with the process. If you have any questions or require further assistance, I strongly encourage you to reach out to our Live Support through your tracking page for personalized help.
Your satisfaction is crucial, and we would love the opportunity to address any concerns and clarify any points of confusion so that we can improve your experience with us.
Kind regards,
Charlotte
“The website is extremely misleading about what you will pay; they have it big and bold that it's ONLY $28.99 and then hidden in grayed-out fine print that it will be much more. Once you check out, they have you locked into their scam, and you can't get your money back, or they will blacklist your phone. I could buy a new phone for the price they are demanding after you pay the unlock fee. Literal blackmail.”
Hello Josiah,
I'm truly sorry to hear that you feel misled by the pricing on our website. Our intention is always to be transparent with our customers. The initial payment of $28.99 you made is for the Eligibility Check, which is a necessary step to ensure that your Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G can be unlocked from the AT&T USA network.
As mentioned on our website, this Eligibility Check fee is separate from the Unlocking Payment, and all costs are indeed outlined on the checkout page before purchase is finalized. We understand that seeing additional costs can be surprising, but please rest assured that there is no intention to mislead you.
Regarding your concern about being unable to unlock your phone without a code — if your phone does not prompt for an unlocking code with a non-AT&T sim card inserted, our Remote USB Unlock service, which comes at an additional fee, can help complete the unlocking process.
Our goal is to offer you a solution to unlock your device and we would love to assist you further with the next step of the unlocking process. If you would like to proceed, please don't hesitate to reach out and we'll continue to provide support.
If there is any other concern you would like to address, I'm here to help.
Best regards,
Charlotte
“They claim that they can unlock your phone or tablet and then after you pay them, they tell you that once you install an out-of-network card the device has to prompt for the code but only after you paid them twice.
Once to check to see if they can unlock it and once to unlock. Then they refuse to refund your payment, run far away from this company. paid $28.88 then asked for another $50. to unlock
Will be disputing these charge.”
Hello Steven,
I'm truly sorry to hear about the frustration you've encountered with our unlocking process. I understand it can be quite confusing, so let's try to clear things up.
From your message, it appears you've made an initial payment of $28.99 for the Eligibility Check and a subsequent $50 for the Standard Unlock which has been refunded. It's important to note that the Eligibility Check fee is a prerequisite step to determine if unlocking is possible and is non-refundable as outlined in our terms.
Regarding the unlock process, for your Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, it might not prompt for an unlocking code if it's the type of device that requires a different unlocking method. If your device does not ask for an unlock code with a non-Verizon SIM card, then a Remote USB Unlock service, which is additional, would indeed be necessary as per the information provided on our website before purchase.
I'm here to support you and ensure you have all the information needed to decide on how to proceed. If you would like assistance with the Remote USB unlock or have any further questions, please let us know, and we'll do our best to assist.
Warm regards,
Charlotte
“Scam alert. Keeps asking for more money.
$29 for eligibility criteria check
$50! For unlocking because it was found eligible.
Then unlocking fails . I am asked to do remote unlock for additional $50. They have given me a so called credit note. How can I get my money back.”
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us. I understand you're upset about the process and the costs that have been incurred. According to our Refund Policy and terms and conditions, the Eligibility Check fee is a necessary step to ensure that your phone can be unlocked and is non-refundable, as it is a service that has been provided.
For the unlocking service, if the initial unlock attempt fails and the service is deemed eligible for a refund, as outlined under "Premium Services which fail," you are entitled to a refund of the payments made toward the Standard and Premium unlock services. The offer of a credit note typically applies to situations that do not meet the refund criteria, like when a device is ineligible for unlocking due to being hard-locked or blacklisted, among others.
If the suggested remote USB unlock doesn't work and it is incompatible with your device or is unsuccessful, the policy states under "Remote USB Unlock" that a refund would be provided.
To move forward with addressing your specific situation accurately, I would need the IMEI of your device to review your order details. Unfortunately, without this information or an order reference, I cannot provide a tailored update or solution. Please use the Live Support through your tracking page for direct assistance, ensuring you have your IMEI or order reference ready for our team to help you efficiently.
Let's work together to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.
“Scam . They request $28.99 first then after you pay the ask you again for $50 .00 to " finalize " the whole process. Do not fall into this . I'm sure they will regret what they're doing now . Placed a complaint against them.”
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your concerns with us, and I apologize if the process wasn't as clear as it could have been. Our unlocking process does indeed involve two payments: one for the Eligibility Check and another for the Unlocking Payment. This is outlined on the checkout page before the purchase is completed.
We value your business and aim to address any issues our customers face. If your order status is awaiting payment and you wish to continue, completing the Unlocking Payment will allow us to finalize the unlocking process for you.
If there are any specifics that you are unhappy with, please contact us via Live Support on your tracking page, so we can address and resolve your concerns directly. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we would appreciate the opportunity to make things right.
Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to assist you further.
“Definately a SCAM. This company, in association with Wipelock, will endeavour to relieve you of as much money as possible without any results. Unfortunately I fell for the initial three emails requesting money ($228.33 in total) but when the fourth arrived asking for more it was an obvious SCAM. Coincidentally, after paying via a debit card I received 2 bogus drawings on my bank account and had to cancel the card.”
Hello there,
I'm really sorry to hear about the difficulties and concerns you've encountered with our service. I understand how frustrating it can be to have unexpected costs and it’s never our intention to make anyone feel misled. I want to assure you that we strive to be transparent with our payment structure, which requires an Eligibility Check followed by an Unlocking Payment, as outlined at checkout.
I want to work with you to address any issues you’re facing and to improve your experience. Your concerns about multiple payments are understandable, and I'd like to clarify that we only charge for the services as described during the purchase process. If your status is awaiting payment, it may indicate that we're ready to go ahead with the unlock process pending the final payment.
If you've experienced unauthorized transactions on your bank account, this is a serious matter that we would advise you to have investigated by your bank, as we take the security of your payment information very seriously.
Please do share your IMEI or order number with our Live Support team on your tracking page, so we can look into this matter thoroughly and provide you with the specific assistance you require.
Warm regards,
Charlotte
“These are scammers! Be careful!! First they ask you to pay £24 to unlock it, then they write to you “you need to pay another £47 because the first payment is for them to check your phone. you hope to get help, and therefore you are ready to pay money... unfortunately.. After that you have to wait up to 19 days! Can you imagine? But after 6 days I receive a message that my phone cannot be unlocked, the money is not returned. In exchange for your decorated money, they give you some kind of “credit note” on their website (which, by the way, no one has found). Unfortunately, purchased reviews on their website.”
Hello Kateryna,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns with us. I'm sorry to hear about the frustration you've experienced with our service. Our goal is always to provide clear communication and a smooth process, so I'd like to clarify a few points regarding the payments and the service provided.
As outlined in our terms and conditions, the initial payment of £23.99 serves as an Eligibility Check to ensure we can unlock your specific iPhone XR from the StraightTalk USA network. Once eligibility is confirmed, the subsequent £47 charge is for the actual unlocking process. This process is completed in two stages, as stated on our checkout page to maintain transparency.
I understand the wait time can be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience in this. It's unfortunate that we were unable to unlock your phone, and as per our policy, we've issued a credit note when a refund is not applicable. This credit note can be used for future services with us on different devices and unlocking services.
Although your experience did not meet expectations, we hope you give us the chance to assist you further and address any issues you're facing. You can use your credit note for any other eligible service on our site, and we would be more than happy to guide you on how to redeem it or help with any other concerns you may have.
If you have additional questions or need clarification on using your credit note, please get in touch with our customer support. We are here to help you through this process.
Best regards,
Charlotte
