starting with the only positive; I requested a price match before I ordered and it was approved within a couple of hours. the negatives; delivered with missing parts and customer services are incredibly difficult to get hold of, you can only contact them via email, the call service does not work/they don't answer. They lied about sending out the missing parts then days later stated the parts should have been with the original delivery even though photo evidence was provided of missing parts on delivery. almost 2 weeks after delivery and i still haven't received the missing parts and have had to buy them separately. The item although feels robust is poorly made, the handle is so tight when trying to close the entire stove moves. Please dont take my word for it, please call direct stoves customer services before you buy.

Hi, Thanks for your review. We were sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the stove in question. We can see that our customer service team contacted the supplier on your behalf, and that it was the manufacturers who advised that the bolts for the spigot would already be screwed into the body of the stove and would need to be unscrewed and reattached (they are generally sent like this so that the screws/bolts don’t get lost in the packaging). We appreciate that you had double checked this and confirmed that they were missing, and our customer service team has subsequently requested that new bolts be sent out from the supplier, as of today. We can only apologise for any inconvenience and that you experienced difficulty in getting hold of the customer service team. Our email inboxes and phone lines are all operational but it is an extremely busy time of year for heating appliances, and we are advising that it may take longer than usual for us to respond to customer queries. Small ash pan and fire doesn’t seem to shut down properly, small ash pan handle , also small round part missing go5 on it

Superb service throughout - could not fault this company. The delivery date was changed at short notice without hassle and the stove was delivered in a timely and professional manner. Overall I am delighted with my purchase of such a stylish and efficient stove.

I ordered the Broseley Canterbury Slimline Gas Stove. The stove requires some assembly and unfortunately when I went to fix 1 of 4 legs I discovered that one of the pre-drilled holes wasn’t deep enough. I also discovered that the supplied self taping screws supplied to fix the heat shield were not strong enough to fix the shield to the rear of the stove. Therefore I have had to purchase a bolt to resolve the leg issue and some quality self taping screws. Very disappointing for the £1,025 that the stove cost.

Unfortunately on the day the stove was due to arrive we realised a mistake with our measurements. My husband phoned and luckily we were able to stop delivery before it happened. Our only complaint was that we still got charged the £140 delivery charge despite the stove still being on the lorry and not actually even being delivered to us so not needing collecting with an additional pick up etc. It never even left the lorry but we still had to pay.

Unfortunately, because we are ourselves charged by our delivery partner for both deliveries and return consignments/restocking charges, we are not always able to offer cancellations free of charge once the goods have been dispatched (especially in the event of a change of heart). As we're sure you can appreciate, we offer one-man delivery free of charge to try and offer the most competitive prices that we can, but large and heavy pallet deliveries can be fairly expensive hence the aforementioned returns charge. Our Dispatch team worked to try and resolve the issue as quickly as we could with as little inconvenience to yourself as we could muster under the circumstances.
