“We bought a multi fuel burner from direct stoves, excellent purchase but communication between staff is very poor. Delivery was due on a Tuesday but arrived on the Monday, luckily someone was a home. They say door delivery, but it isn’t ours was left on the driveway.”

Hi Lesley, Thank you very much for your feedback. We're sorry to hear of the issues experienced with this order. Our one-man delivery does specify that: "The drivers are contracted to deliver the item to your property and must use a pallet truck to lift/move the goods which are normally quite heavy and can be up to 1mtr wide (occasionally larger). If they cannot operate the pallet truck safely due to gravel/stone drives, steps, or slopes as examples they will only be able to leave the item at the first available access point. They will try to assist as best they can but can only stay at each property for a limited period. They cannot bring the goods inside your house and will leave the goods with you on the delivery pallet." If the driver does not feel that they are able to safely transport the pallet delivery to the front door then unfortunately they must leave the goods at the closest access point. Similarly, while we do apologise for the confusion regarding delivery, ultimately any delivery dates requested are not 100% guaranteed. Rescheduling through our shipping partner should have been fully communicated by said partner and we would still apologise on their behalf for the inconvenience. “Just installed our 7.5kw Opus Harmony multi-fuel stove & log store complete with twin wall flue kit. Really heavy stove, so much care was needed to install but looks amazing.”

“First things first - the logs are good, happy with the price BUT having waited all day for delivery on the agreed date I phoned the courier (Palletline) and was told that the logs had not been loaded for delivery as they would put the van overweight. Nobody considered contacting me to tell me and save a wasted day! Delivery was agreed for the following Tuesday as I was going to be out on the following Monday, guess what - yep the logs were delivered Monday. Luckily my wife arrived home just in time and the day was saved. So- good product but rubbish logistics which is a shame”

“I would never buy from Direct Stoves again or recommend them to anyone. As soon as they have your order they don't care. They sent me the wrong stove, promised me someone would come and collect it. I stayed home from work and they delivery never showed up. I had to take a other day off and the company would not enter my house to help me move a 160kg cast iron stove. I had to pay a local builder to move it for me. I complained twice and have never had a response. Avoid at all costs”

“Cant fault the company, only very disappointed with the delivery company that they use and the driver, dumped my delivery on the street and said I'm not helping you, your own then left me to struggle to get the stove in safely up my 4 steps into my house if i was an old or weaker person could you imagine?”

Hi Lee, Thanks for your review. It's great to hear that you found the service received from Direct Stoves to be faultless, though we're sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the delivery. We do offer a premium two-man delivery service at checkout, which allows for the courier to bring the item into a room of the customer's choosing. As this was not selected the driver would only have been able to bring your stove as far as the front door for safety reasons. We hope that this information helps. “I have a Victorian semi and the guts has been ripped out of it, my mission, to try and restore some character back into the place. I had bookmarked this stove for a number of weeks until I was in a position to purchase. It had a bit of money off and I also did a search for any more money off which I did find (it all helps). The stove arrived and was exceptionally well wrapped/boxed/palleted. The delivery driver was polite and courteous. We unpacked it, eager to just look at it and popped it in situ until it's installation today. It's in! I looks great! I am sure this will be great for the colder months. I have been collecting windfall for next year to season and cannot wait to get some logs after i've cured it. It can rain and be cold as much as likes now. I would definitely use DS again.”
