“The package arrived exactly when I requested it , very well protected in a strong casing and i would recommend direct stoves to everyone if they want good service with no fuss .”

“Avoid and use a local dealer! Very poor service from start to finish. I ordered my stove on 22nd September and booked for a 2-man delivery on the website for the 4th October. I took the day off work so that I could be around. It got to 2pm and I had not heard anything, so I phoned direct stoves and was told that it had not even been shipped yet and I should not have been able to book a 2-man delivery on the website. I would receive a message the FOLLOWING WEEK so that I could book in a date, despite 4/10/2024 being the delivery date on my invoice! The stove finally arrived on 12th October and the 2-man delivery struggled to carry it into my house and left it next to where I wanted it, instead of in the fireplace (like was suggested on the website). When unpacking the parts, the Flue pipe had a large gouge front and centre, above the service door. The flue was also poor quality, misshape and paint flaking off everywhere. Tried to phone direct stoves customer service, but there was no answer and sent an email instead. I heard nothing until 17th, telling me that they're looking to send me another. I've told them not to bother as I've now picked up a cheaper, higher quality flue pipe from a local supplier. Annoyingly, the stove I ordered is now £400 cheaper in the sale. I've spent over £2k with this company and will never give them another penny.”

“Really helpful advice over phone. My issues are being pressurised over e-mail etc ("summer sales ending, last day" etc) so ordered the stove at 3am only to find that the price would have gone DOWN £20 if I had let the sale period lapse and not worken up in the night in a panic. Also the delivery guy has left me with a heavy IPP red pallet that I cannot take to the recycing centre and IPP are saying they are "currently unable to collect it" and that due data protection reasons (!?) they cannot arrange for someone else to collect it. Really frustrating and no where to turn on the pallet issue.”

Regarding our website prices, while we do offer certain items at reduced prices in seasonal sales, the costs for individual products can also go up or down depending on infrequent supplier price changes. Any email communication would be to make customers aware of seasonal sales and we can only apologise for any frustration or inconvenience. In terms of delivery, we do advise that our one-man delivery service often involves pallet shipment due to the weight of certain products (especially stoves). We can only apologise that neither ourselves or the courier are able to offer a pallet recycling service at present. “Firstly just to say we are really pleased with our new Gazco electric stove. It’s great quality, very heavy and the flames look quite realistic. The heat output seems good. What we were disappointed with was the delivery of it. We ordered from direct stoves because the website said our chosen stove was ‘in stock’ and on a 3-5 day delivery. Almost three weeks and several phone calls later, it finally arrived. So that’s why we’ve rated only 4 stars. I’d rather the website gave a realistic delivery time than saying 3-5 days. But the delivery guy was great and we are very happy with it now that it’s here.”

“The product was excellent! The delivery service was extremely poor . On the day delivery they turned up and loaded the stove on a crate and the stove was extremely heavy and we kindly asked could they bring it into house & they refused just dumped it on the driveway and left it there! Sorry if your paying over £600 think that’s really poor service”

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review. It's good to hear that you have been impressed with the recently received stove. Regarding delivery, we can see that you had chosen the standard free one-man delivery service when ordering online. As per the delivery information available on our website, "if [the driver] cannot operate the pallet truck safely due to gravel/stone drives, steps, or slopes as examples they will only be able to leave the item at the first available access point. They will try to assist as best they can but can only stay at each property for a limited period. They cannot bring the goods inside your house and will leave the goods with you on the delivery pallet". We do offer a two-man premium service to account for the weight of items, at an additional £30, via which a courier would have been able to bring the stove into the property. Because you did not opt for this, it will not have been safe for the driver to transport the goods beyond your driveway. This being said, we are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience.
