Firstly just to say we are really pleased with our new Gazco electric stove. It’s great quality, very heavy and the flames look quite realistic. The heat output seems good. What we were disappointed with was the delivery of it. We ordered from direct stoves because the website said our chosen stove was ‘in stock’ and on a 3-5 day delivery. Almost three weeks and several phone calls later, it finally arrived. So that’s why we’ve rated only 4 stars. I’d rather the website gave a realistic delivery time than saying 3-5 days. But the delivery guy was great and we are very happy with it now that it’s here.

The product was excellent! The delivery service was extremely poor . On the day delivery they turned up and loaded the stove on a crate and the stove was extremely heavy and we kindly asked could they bring it into house & they refused just dumped it on the driveway and left it there! Sorry if your paying over £600 think that’s really poor service

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your review. It's good to hear that you have been impressed with the recently received stove. Regarding delivery, we can see that you had chosen the standard free one-man delivery service when ordering online. As per the delivery information available on our website, "if [the driver] cannot operate the pallet truck safely due to gravel/stone drives, steps, or slopes as examples they will only be able to leave the item at the first available access point. They will try to assist as best they can but can only stay at each property for a limited period. They cannot bring the goods inside your house and will leave the goods with you on the delivery pallet". We do offer a two-man premium service to account for the weight of items, at an additional £30, via which a courier would have been able to bring the stove into the property. Because you did not opt for this, it will not have been safe for the driver to transport the goods beyond your driveway. This being said, we are sorry for any confusion or inconvenience. Super fast delivery, good pricing and easy-to-arrange finance that allowed us to get the cook stove we wanted. Stove was well packed and delivered on a pallet when promised.

Very good service and price. Arrived in good time and on time. Surprised that the stove had little protective covering other than clear plastic film, although I do appreciate it is a good thing to reduce excess packaging.

Our order arrived super quick, we haven't installed the stove yet so can't comment on how efficient it is but, all the parts were in the box undamaged.

Mixed experience. I was recommended a stove by my installer, so I purchased it online not paying too much attention to the product itself. What can do is review the experience with the company having placed the order online. I added the item to my basket, chose a delivery date and paid. All very simple and I was very impressed how quickly it could be delivered. Except that wasn't correct. Despite being able to pick a date, and then recieving an email that quotes the delivery date without any additional comment, it is in fact fictional. I didn't know this until I phoned them to query it and was told it was just my requested delivery date, and not a confirmation, and that I should wait for email confirmation first. Problem is the website nor the order confirmation state this, anywere, at all. So having chased the delivery I was told I should have waited to book installaiton until I got the burner and was advised I should cancel installation as it was not clear when the burner was arriving. Luckily, I didn't cancel installation because only the next day I got an email stating the burner was dispatched and the day after it arrived (only a week after my fictional wished delivery date, so not the end of the world). So in summary it needs to be made much much clearer that having chosen a date this does not at all mean that's when it can be delivered. Misleading and confusing. And surely boring for the customer support team to deal with.

We did have a communication problem with our delivery as the haulage company did not deliver on the date it was expected. But once Direct Stoves were told of the problem they chased the haulage company and resolved to our satisfaction
