Ordered Woodburner over the phone and it was dealt with very by professional, friendly sales staff. The process was straightforward and delivery date arranged there and then for the following week. Delivery was prompt and item was very well packaged. Would definitely recommend using them based on my experience.

I love our stove and it was a great price. It was delivered on the requested day. Just a word of warning on delivery, we have a slight slope with steps down to our property and the delivery man couldn't bring it to the front door as if was on a pallette. Obviously not the lightest object to carry!

As you quite rightly state in your review, our free one-man stove delivery service would involve a pallet truck. While the driver would aim to transport the goods as close to the property as possible, this would be dependent upon the accessibility of the property. I needed a new woodburner fairly urgently, and after much searching online for the right size/width/availabilty I came across Direct Stoves who had an excellent varierty of stoves. I ordered a Saltfire Wide on 24th January - it arrived 6th February! Excellent customer services as I am deaf and can only use email, all emails answered immediately. Highly recommended.

Paid for next working day delivery & didn’t arrive when it should have. Got told it was coming the following day between 8am - 12pm & didn’t arrive until 2:15. I had a work man booked in.

Good stove, terrible delivery service. One very rude monosyllabic guy arrived with very heave 200kg+ stove and left it “kerbside” on a pallet about 50ft from our door. Used his pallet truck to get it there but would not take it any further. My wife couldn’t move it, left there for 3 hours until other family members got home from work then spent ages in dark taking pallet apart to get at it and then 5 of us to carry it into house

We're pleased to hear that you've been impressed with the stove received, but we are also sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with our delivery partner. As part of the one man delivery service that we offer, the driver should transport the pallet as close to the property as is safe and possible, providing level ground with no steep slopes or gravel driveways. This would be due to the weight and size of many items. Had we been contacted at the time, our dispatch team would have spoken to our delivery partner to ask that the driver return and move the pallet closer to the property. I waited a long time for my stove and understood the reasons for the delay. However, I do feel the company could have kept me informed, even on a monthly basis, for a brief update. I felt I had to chase my order and in the end only found out it was in stock when I contacted you again for information. It makes me wonder how long you had had it in your warehouse. Did my e mail prompt you or were you going to contact me by coincidence that same week? The stove is now fitted and looks beautiful. It has not been lit yet though! A word on your delivery courier. The stove was left by the driver to be brought into the house by my 60 year old partner. A tough ask for him considering the weight, 130 kg! It would have been nice for the driver to offer his help.

Customer service - great. Product appears great from outside, unfortunately I cannot say anythong about its performance (yet) - I AM ONLY WAITING 4!!! MONTHS NOW FOR A PLUMBER TO CONNECT THE STOVE. I am happy to review once I managed to get the gas stove connected

What we ordered: 5inch square cowl, what we got: 6inch round cowl. Quick response to deliver original order BUT I am left with a totally useless (to me) cowl and no offer to collect it.
