“The company delivered the fire as they said. No problems. The fire I ordered is very good. It has two heat settings. Even on 2k it has a quiet purr. The fire itself looks very smart. The feet are narrow and mark the lino so I have put a slab underneath.”

“We bought a Portway Arundel stove from Direct Stoves. Great phone info about the delivery which was ontime, with a delivery-slot text message a few hours before. Good follow up emails with fitting and accessory suggestions. Superbly packed! Stove is now fitted, looks great, and worked well on test. Easy to control, looking forward to using it soon!”

“Excellent service bought the fire I wanted in minutes. Delivery was quick however it was only curb side delivery which was a pain as the stove was so heavy. The driver refused to assist getting the stove into the house and as such the stove was sat in the rain all day before we could get it inside.”

Hi Mark, Thanks for your review and for taking the time to upload a photo of the new stove. To clarify, we can see that you had selected our standard free one-man delivery option at checkout. As per the delivery information on our website, "the drivers are contracted to deliver the item to your property and must use a pallet truck to lift/move the goods which are normally quite heavy and can be up to 1mtr wide (occasionally larger). If they cannot operate the pallet truck safely due to gravel/stone drives, steps, or slopes as examples they will only be able to leave the item at the first available access point. They will try to assist as best they can but can only stay at each property for a limited period. They cannot bring the goods inside your house and will leave the goods with you on the delivery pallet." For future reference, we do offer a two-man delivery service at a small additional charge. If selected at checkout, this allows for the delivery to be booked in with the courier and for goods to be delivered into a room of your choosing. Regardless, thanks again for your order. “I experienced a few issues with the website when I was ordering the stove, but I sent an email and I got a call back, in a few minutes I had ordered and paid for my stove. Delivery was on time, and placed in the garage until my fitters came. Thank you.”
