Everyone one I dealt with at direct stoves very helpful called in the shop and spoke to a guy called Damian ordered log burner and it was delivered 2 days later thanks everyone at direct stoves

I am happy with the my log burner, and only now trying it out. Seems to be working well. But there is no instructions manual around how to use it. The delivery came a day before the date arranged luckily I was home.

Really good communication and knowledge from the Staff at Stockport branch, very friendly and helpful and we felt no pressure to buy at any time and the price was right too..

Firstly I love the stove BUT, I had to pay an extra £75 for delivery by 2 men so it would be brought into my house. The stove is cast iron and weighs a ton, as I am 67 yrs old I had no option but to pay this fee. Outrageous! when I ordered the stove I was told there would be some self assembly BUT, when it arrived it was in several pieces, not only was the weight an issue but I needed spanner's, screw drivers and child sized hands to reach some of the screws and bolts. I enlisted the help of a friend and it still took us 3 hours to put together. As I said, the stove is lovely but my back took the brunt of the excercise. Do not order unless you are a strong, fit young engineer!

Regarding delivery, we offer both a free one-man delivery service and a premium two-man delivery option at checkout. As you mention, the weight and size of most stoves means that a one-man courier would be unable to move the item inside the property, whereas two-man delivery enables the appliance to be carried into a room of choice. Unfortunately, as we ourselves incur cost in arranging a two-man service along with the requisite vehicle, we are unable to offer this for free and there is a charge involved. This said, we appreciate your feedback and can only apologise for any inconvenience. This was a very disappointing experience, The sales girl said I had to email her with the deIivery address she would not take it over the phone and she guaranteed it would be noted. This did not happen, a delivery date was agreed but the order was put on hold and not actioned until I telephoned and complained, I was then assured that delivery would be on a certain day so I got people in to fit the stove. It did not appear until a week later. I was given a small amount in compensation. appalling service I will not be using you again.

I purchased a multi fuel stove which was at a good price and arrived in a short time. However it has arrived with several marks on the stove and the glass was smashed -although packing was I damaged -so I presume it was packed in this condition. I have been sent a new glass and some spray paint for the stove but no notice of who is to carry out the repairs -so I presume it will be at my cost Very poor email reply from company -customer service needs a large improvement
