My daughter did enjoy it but she is quite outgoing and loves anything that’s with other children but at one point she kept saying I can’t do it and no one really acknowledged it. One girl coaching did help her In the beginning a little more which I expected as it’s her first time but this same person spoke to the group abit odd and at one point said come on get up then It just sounded rude to speak to children this way. It was not engaging at all I felt it wasn’t ran great the Instructions were not very clear on some parts they were more for ones who have been before and some of the games were a little complicated like assuming they know what the word rewind means as in going in backwards. One game was to go fast, then slow then fast and slow also running to certain coloured cones in a circle it was hectic and I didn’t see any child that understood it clearly. There were 3 coaches and two of them barely interacted well seemed a little socially awkward to be honest like they couldn’t be bothered. The one who did give instructions was just quiet at some points so it was disappointing I had to shout some instructions over to my daughter to help her understand. My daughter at one point pushed in the queue and one did try and tell her but when my daughter didn’t listen she lifted her arms in what I can think was only frustration. I feel the coaches I quite young which isn’t a problem with the correct training but just lacked experience in engaging children. I would have marked 1 star but since my daughter was happy I’ve gave 2 but huge room for improvement if I’d actually paid for the session id 100% want a refund

Hi Amy, Thank you for your detailed feedback regarding your recent experience with our Diddikicks class in Darlington. We’re pleased to hear that your daughter enjoyed parts of the session and 'was happy'. Our Bigs class is designed for children aged 3.5 to 5 years and is our most advanced class (We start at 18m old). We understand that the activities may be challenging initially, especially for those attending for the first time when comparing to children who may have been with Diddikicks for years. As you will have seen, our coaches always vocally explain and physically demonstrate each game to ensure all children understand the tasks, even if they encounter new terms. I have inferred that you remained seated throughout the class when you said "I had to shout some instructions over to my daughter". As a parent & toddler class, it's important for parents to actively participate during the sessions if they feel their child needs it, as this support can greatly enhance the child’s experience and help them adjust more quickly to the activities. Your direct involvement would have been beneficial, especially in helping your daughter with the new tasks. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to improve our instructions and support. Thank you once again for your insights. Kind Regards, Chris Team Diddi
I think that it is far too complex for 2.5 to 3.5 year olds. Too many instructions instead of just letting them find their feet and play with the ball. Games with rules that are too much. Needs to be simpler and coach needs to have more confidence to make the room quiet.

Hi Sophie, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We value your opinion and are committed to offering a positive experience for all our Diddikickers. I'm sorry to hear that you found our classes too complex for the age group. Our curriculum has been designed to cater to the developmental stages of children, blending football skills with early numeracy, fine and gross motor skills, colour recognition, and turn taking. We aim to make each session not only fun but also educational for the children. However, we appreciate that every child is different, and your comments will be reviewed by our senior coaching team to assess this weekend's session plans. Your point about the coach's confidence in managing the room is also well taken and will be addressed through additional training. I can see that you have re-added yourself to the waiting list following your free trial session with a view to joining again in the new year. We hope you have a better experience next time around. Many thanks, Chris TeamDiddi
My son has had his trial session today. Up on arrival we were not welcomed, I had to approach the staff myself. The couches did speak to the group and knew the children’s names, but with only being young themselves they did not seem to have the knowledge of dealing with young children. They could be a little more enthusiastic and welcoming with the children . They seemed very quiet and there did not seem to be a lot of encouragement.

My boy has just started to attend diddikicks at Netherton high, He has been 4 times now but hasn't really taken part due to him being really shy and not very confident. The head coach Callum has tried to coach him to get involved a couple of times but the two young girls dont really try hard enough to get him involved. My personal view is that the less confident kids should be getting more attention and time especially at the beginning of there journey in didikicks. Hence the reason for my low rating im sure as my son hopefully gets more involved my rating will go higher. Regards Tony

Overpriced for what it is. I’ve now cancelled my DD as there were moments when my child and others were bored and that’s not acceptable for the price. The staff should be reading the children’s body language and changing the activities when they’re not suitable.

After hearing great things from others we put out little boys name down on the waiting list in Jan 2020. We have been waiting ever since and not heard anything. When I have chased this up several times I have been told he was next on the list and a place would be available in 4-6weeks. Over 3 months later still no contact of a place and a very disappointed little boy. Thankfully we have found a different t football club and only had to wait 3 weeks for a place and were kept up to date with updates. Would not recommend Diddi Kicks.

Seems to only be one member of staff who’s actually into it - Katie and she can be a bit over enthusiastic at times. The guy who’s there spent the whole of the last session on his phone. Numbers seem to be less and less each week too.

Hi. Thank you for your honest feedback. It's so important to see an outside perspective on our classes. The guy you are referring to was Andy, he's our franchise partner for the Eastham area, so don't worry...he was working on his phone on the sidelines, and must have only switched to his laptop after your little one's class. I'm unsure how Katy can be too enthusiastic with such young children if you could elaborate further. With regards to attendance, a sunny day is the worst nightmare for a Diddikicks class. We don't get many so many parents plan a full day out which unfortunately means not attending their class that day. Hope that helps, thanks Team Diddi
Not suited for toddlers - could include songs?
Helpful Report
Hi. Sorry you feel that way... We don't use songs as we believe that our Diddikickers are capable of learning without the use of songs that you would find in a baby and toddler class. I can see that you signed up to the classes after your free trial, so have clearly seen the positives that our classes offer to do so. If you would like to revert to the waiting list to try again when your child is little older, please do get in touch via merseyside@diddikicks.co.uk. Thanks, Team Diddi.
Really struggled with my little one next to no help. Cancelling after a few short months.

Hi Heather, We are really sorry to hear this and can see you only cancelled a couple of days ago. Would you mind us passing your feedback onto the Merseyside team who run the class you were at? Thanks, Becky
