I have used Crunch accounting for 2 years now after starting my consulting business with them. I had concerns initially with going with an online accountant who's door I couldn't knock on but they have been great. Always very responsive (more so than many people I know with "traditional" accountants) and tasks like self assessment is a click of a button that I don't have to worry about. The software is good and gets better all of the time. The packages start very cheap and easy to customize to the level that you need without breaking the bank. I certainly don't feel that I have missed out on anything despite paying less than many peers.

Everyone at Crunch is always very helpful, kind and they always take the time to explain things to me in a clear way. No question is too stupid! The accountants and account managers at Crunch always have your best interest at heart.

I am using crunch for the last 5 years. They helped me right from setting up a company to day to day accounting activities. The dedicated account manager is a great service which I like the most, where someone answers your emails almost straight away. The online accounting software is clutter free and very easy to use. I would highly recommend crunch service.

I've been working with Crunch since starting my small business about a year and a half ago. Extremely important to me is to have a hassle free tool to keep up with my administration and to have support whenever I need reassurance. My client manager has been an absolute star, I feel she really cares whenever I'm uncertain and reach out with a last minute worried e-mail. Her support has given me peace of mind, knowing that I'm covered!

I've been with Crunch on-and-off since 2012 and have recently started up with them again. I must say that they were better in 2012 as their service and advice was better and the customer service team was more responsive. They have still prompted me for all the important things which has saved me a lot of grief with HMRC in the past. However, my recent account manager has been making an effort to get things done and it is early days for my new company, so we'll see how things go this year. The referral feature is helpful for small businesses like myself, so that can be helpful. I've noticed that the software hasn't improved much since it came out. For my self-employed work, I use free software which links to my bank account - for free - and it also provides a free app that allows unlimited logging of expenses - for free. The Snap app that Crunch provides is limited to 15 uploads a month and requires you to pay £5.50 per month for Unlimited. The app doesn't look like it has been updated since it first came out and the reviews seem to reflect this. Their accounting software still doesn't allow you to create an estimate or quote from scratch that can later be converted into an invoice while my free software can do this with no issues. I can also accept card payments with Stripe with no monthly cost with my free software. I hope Crunch update their features soon as it just bumps up the price of their subscription beyond what it's worth. I'll update this review later this year.

Hi Chris, Thank you for posting a detailed review of the Crunch service although I'm sorry that you feel the service aspect has dropped in recent times. If possible I'd like to understand more about this so I can review your concerns in more detail. If it's OK with you, I'd like to drop you a quick email today or if you would prefer a call, please let me know and I'll be happy to chat. I'd also be interested in finding out more about the software you're using for the self employed elements of your work as it sounds really interesting - we've recently formed a partnership with Freeagent specifically for Sole Traders and so it would be a good opportunity for us to review other software for this market. With regards to the estimates / quotes feature, we implemented this a couple of years ago. It was requested by some of our clients and so we developed a simple, easy to use, tool that allows you to do this in Crunch Platform. https://help.crunch.co.uk/customer/en/portal/articles/2031807-how-to-create-an-estimate-or-quote?b_id=6419 Stripe is a very handy method of taking payments online and this is something that we would like to see considered for a future release. We have created a basic integration with GoCardless however there is a clear need to expand our features to accommodate all Payment Processing accounts. As someone who works from home running a small business, Crunch are fantastic. The online accounting system is excellent and even though they have great support documentation, I have emailed my account manager to help out on numerous occasions and they are quick to jump in a help out. I wouldn't want to use anybody else for my accounts.

crunch is a very useful system and most of the staff are fully aware of what they are doing and advice being given however my account manager emily taylor her service is second to none she is an absolute asset to your company and it will be a shame to see her transfer roles and

Great service and really user friendly - especially for people like myself with littleton no understanding of accountancy! It's great having personal accountant you can always call. Only small thing is I find the swebite has glitches from time to time.

I have been using Crunch since 2012, and cannot recommend their services highly enough. Their staff are always patient and willing to help, providing a fantastic level of support for both their website/tools and tax/accounting-related issues. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and it is such a relief to be able to rely on their expertise. I think their service represents incredible value for money, and I am very thankful that they were recommended to me when I was starting up my company.

As a business we have dealt with Crunch for over 3 years and they have been an absolute joy to deal with. More specifically in the past 6 months I have had to deal with Amelia in the Support Team regarding a number of issues and to say she has been patient is an understatement. Amelia has been an absolute dream to work with and would be a credit to any business lucky enough to employ her!

Have just started my first company and signed up with them. It could not have been made more simple. I'm yet to use the software or interact with their client services or my accountant but from a set up and on boarding perspective they are excellent.and I would highly recommend them.

I've been with these guys since the beginning. The concept they had in the 'early days' was a good one, and the service received was tolerable (albeit wrong advice sometimes). Now they are more money orientated, and actually getting any resolution to any problem (usually caused by them or their software) is a major headache. There are additional charges for everything. Their 'system' seems to have zero intelligence, and you are regularly bombarded by what only can be considered as spam. Apart from the regular email warnings you get ie "you will be fined if you don't do this" despite the fact you have done what you are being warned about. And their 'home' screen does the same. When you have done something, you should not keep receiving warning messages that give you cause for concern. Often with 3/4/5 days notice. Not good guys... Its a shame that this has gone this way, as after all, the initial concept was a very good idea.
