“The van I hired was pristine and the guy who handed it over to me was very good. I would've given a 5 if I wasn't left waiting for 25 minutes and if the office staff were more welcoming and gave a little smile.”

“Thought I had found a cheap van for a few hrs for £56. I paid online plus £250 deposit then went to collect. I booked a transit. Then found out I had £1000 excess, £170ish for windscreen, plus tyres plus wheels plus breakdown pack. Or I could pay another £25. Now £81 doesn't seem cheap to me, I had even booked the minimum miles 100. Drove just over 30. They were the most stressed 30 miles of my 30 year driving. Not sure how other hire companies price vehicles, so was reluctant to leave a review. But you asked twice so here it is.”

“First time renting a van for my first and last house move.For some reason felt a bit apprehensive 😩 renting a vehicle looking through for best price etc etc. Let me put you at ease from my first contact with Online booking to James following up with the phone call to check for my own peace of mind I had filled out all the drop down menus and all the insurance information. When I arrived the manager Alison was so friendly and made me feel so comfortable and completed all the necessary paperwork within minutes and had me away with alan to do my vehicle check. Alan showed me around the vehicle and made sure every tiny stone chip was noted down so I wasn't billed for anyone else's mistake and was again so friendly and treated me like a old friend rather than a brand new customer. All in all my experience with the Oldham country van hire has been fantastic and has inspired me to write a review (something I rarely do unless the place is awesome or shocking ) many thanks Alison and team five stars ✨✨✨✨✨”

“Having rented a Luton van with a tailift, we have been hit with charges to repair scratches to the loadbed on the tail-lift which considering the type of vehicle this is and that this part of the vehicle will be subject to heavy duty wear and tear I am perplexed to say the least. Following no support from our local branch who we have dealt with for over 10 years,we are currently looking into alternative local suppliers. Disappointed to say the least.”

“After using County for a number of years , we had drivers aged 21. As they were too young to drive county vehicles we were promised at the age of 25 they would be able to drive county vans being a Transit Sprinter or a 3.5 Luton Tail lift. When our staff turned 25, i contact county only to be informed they had suddenly changed their mind and our staff would now have to be aged 30. We decided to contact Ryders who were more than happy to help and their minimum age is actually 21.”
