Had to cancel my original booking in May due to hospital appointment, I found it very easy to obtain a voucher for another booking within the next year. I have know booked for September and again found it very easy to do on the phone. The operator was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Hatton Court Hotel, Upton Saint Lawrence, for 1 night on a bed breakfast/dinner break. We also paid extra for a jacuzzi room. Unfortunately, the room was unfit for purpose. The jacuzzi bath was old and very badly stained and we were unable to use it as it was so unsightly. The room had crumpled carpet, chipped paintwork and scraps on the paintwork on the walls. The toilet did not flush properly and there was a toilet smell in the room. We addressed this issues at reception and were told that the toilet would be dealt with, but it wasn't during the time of our stay. At dinner, we waited at our table for 20 minutes before we even got a menu, the drinks waiter dropped wine on my foot while bringing the glass to the table, the prawn cocktail starter contained no avocado (which is a main ingredient in the dish), the gaps between starter, main and dessert were long and the table service was erratic. We felt the staff were not trained to standard appropriate to that which the hotel was aspiring to. On the plus side, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, which was excellent - very well presented and good quality ingredients. We enjoyed the ambience outside while drinking our complementary drink. If the hotel had offered to amend the rate of our room to that of a standard room, it will have slightly compensated us for our disappointment in the overall experience. Unfortunately, we will not be using Country Hotel Breaks again.

You confirmed a total paid amount of £605.00 The hotel are asking for €245.00 a night or £735.00! Why??? This is not good!

The price you have paid for your stay is correct at £605 - this has been pre-paid to us for your stay at the hotel in June. While the hotel may be charging higher prices for direct stays, this does not affect the amount you have paid, which as you can see, is considerably lower than the direct price. We have used the web site before. We picked the hotel from your web site to replace a break we were to take in 2020 to celebrate my 50th wedding anniversary. To navigate the web site was easy and informative and it was a pleasure to use

Excelent web site which gives much detail and assisted me to make up my mind where to spend a £200 GIFT VOUCHER we were given for our 40th anniversary. Very helpful and friendly on the phone when seeking advice and very professional when booking.

1. extensive coverage of good quality venues. 2. not convinced about the original stated cossts which seem to increase once you pursue further informstion on the links/web site 3. certainly an excellent starting point

Hotel was very nice and staff very helpful, unfortunately one of the morning's breakfasts was below average, as we kept getting forgotten, we asked for a coffee that was ordered with one of the breakfasts and had to ask various waiters/ waitresses 6 times before finally getting the coffee. The room my wife and I stayed in for 2 nights was very clean and pleasant, although there was an annoying rumble/humming noise within the vicinity of our room (above main entrance facing to the front of hotel) which was going on almost constantly during the evening and into the early hours, therefore waking the 2 of us several times throughout the night which sadly over these 2 nights prevented us both from getting a peaceful night's sleep. Unfortunately our experience of this hotel reflects in the 3 star rating.

This is the third time we have booked through CHB and the booking experience has been excellent. The actual hotel experiences not so good, not your fault though. Last year we could not go to the Lamphey Court because of Lockdown. This year our booking tomorrow for the Hook Norton failed because their boiler has failed. We are re-booked, thanks for the service, tomorrow at the Cotswold House in Chipping Campden and we are re-booked at the Lamphey Court towards the end of June. Fingers crossed for both trips.
