A very good website with some great hotels and deals, I have booked an hotel for September, its ashame they are applying cancellation charges of £35.00 especially in these strange Covid times when people may find themselves having to isolate and have no choice but cancel!

Booking process using a voucher appeared to be as smooth as it could be, but it left me looking at a page saying your booking is not confirmed and a day later I am still waiting!

Thank you for your review. Over 90% of bookings are confirmed instantaneously, but a small number do require confirmation by the hotel, as not all hotels have the software to support instant confirmation. Normally this is done within an hour or so. In your case confirmation was sent 1 hr 40 mins after your original booking. We do sometimes get problems with Hotmail accounts erroneously flagging confirmations as spam and if you look in your spam folder you will almost certainly find it there. Couldn't make the booking on line as there was no option to select a disabled friendly room which was disappointing so I had to book by telephone.

The website wasn’t necessarily mobile user friendly. A lot of the hotels look dated. I thought the prices were extortionate, we are spending near on £800 for a 3 night stay. A basic option was not available, you have to purchase a package. Other than that a good experience and hope the stay is worth the money.

The hotels featured are of a good standard, though I think the tariffs are a little inflated. The website is easy to use and the booking straightforward. My biggest objection is to the £10 booking fee applied. This voucher was a £50 birthday gift to me from my brother and I am sure he would be very irritated by 20% of his gift being deducted. Though I can understand a few pounds being taken for a processing fee, £10 from £50 seems excessive, especially since I could have contacted the hotel directly for NO fee. Please don't tell me it is in the small print.

Dear Noel, Thank you for your review. Our booking service fees are included in our headline prices, so are not added on after your reservation has been made. The price breakdown can be seen during the booking process. We know that providing excellent customer service is paramount to our clients but we do have to charge a small servicing fee to go towards the costs of providing "with you all the way" service. Our fees start at just £5 per room and vary depending on the size of the transaction, but will never exceed £36 per room, per stay. We include the fees within our prices as we prefer not to mislead with headline rates that can't be booked. Remember, whatever the service fee that you are charged we offer a price match plus guarantee which means that even including the charge, we guarantee best value and best service. While it is true that booking directly with the hotel there would be no booking service fee, to book the same offer with Carnoustie Hotel would have cost you £225, rather than the £175 you paid (less your voucher amount). We were given this as a gift but despite the large range of hotels it was frustrating to book one night in some areas . These should not show when putting one Night in the search box and it is only possible to book two nights.

Some hotels in our portfolio do have a minimum 2 night stay over a Saturday night, and some apply a 2 might minimum to only a few of the packages they offer through us. We do show these when searching for a 1 night stay as the rooms are available for the date requested, and it may be that the person conducting the search finds a 2 night stay appealing if a particular hotel is of interest. In view of the fact that I only booked the hotel visit yesterday, following visual inspection of places offered, and have no experience of the result yet, I cannot really comment other than to say that making the booking was straightforward enough.

I don’t think the website is very user friendly. It would be much more helpful if you could select the dates you require beforehand and then the available hotels come up!

Booking easy what not explained is the following- The price of massages, £45 each for back neck and shoulder massage which is advertised for 30 minutes but only last 20 minutes. £90 for 2 for 20 minutes is crazy. Hotel excellent but food which is really tasty is very small portions with veg etc. The 35 allowance does not cover 3 courses unless you pick the cheapest on menu and drinks are extra. Should make some spa treatments included in price so there are no surprises.

Hi, cannot fault the service completed over the phone, vert efficient and friendly. However found the website a bit cumbersome. E.g. It just kept reverting to hotels in Devon/Cornwall even though I was entering other regional locations.

Not many hotels to choose from within an hour and a half drive. Also would have liked the option of opting out of dinner at the hotel ( due to us being fussy eaters )
