It was very easy to make a booking through the Country Hotel Breaks website. I did use their on-line chat as well to make some dinner reservations at the hotel, this was handled very efficiently, it definitely was a real person I was chatting with and not a BOT. Made all the difference.

Easy to use website and have used before. Only negative is that sometimes you are unable to view the bedroom when considering which package to book.

Hotel- clean Staff - fantastic Food - delicious Surcharges - Disgusting - £3.50 to get a bottle of wine out the fridge from the bar by the barman

Good selection, but many come with things that I don't want which makes it more expensive than booking independently. I booked a hotel to find that I could not use money left on my voucher towards dinner. Money left on my voucher is wasted.

Although the service I had from everyone I was in contact with, was excellent, the fact that as a single person I had to go through the support team is unacceptable in my opinion. Packages and room availability should cater for the single traveller as well as for couples. Having said that, they did all they could to eventually find me suitable accommodation in the Cotswolds, my area of preference.

Had difficulty booking on line as it wouldn't let me click on terms and conditions. Tried again Later and managed to do it. Received message asking if we needed help later in the day but had already booked.

The booking service experience was on the whole very good, although it took a little while to find my way around the website and to distinguish clearly between the types of room and the packages on offer. But once I grasped it, the experience was the best I've had pretty much anywhere so far with the whole thing sorted swiftly and my subsequent slightly clueless email queries were answered in less than two hours.

Making the booking was quite straightforward but the addition of a £25 booking fee at the end of the transaction was cheeky and unjustified for an automated system.

If we could clarify that the booked fee is not added at the end of the booking process, it is within the total price shown on the package, we include the fees within our prices as we prefer not to mislead with headline rates that can't be booked. It is then broken down on the first page of the booking process with the cost of the package and the booking fee. We do have to charge a small servicing fee to go towards the costs of providing 'with you all the way' service.
