“What let's this hotel down are the tired bedrooms foe example mould around the paint on the windows, a huge stain (Carpet stain remover maybe) cobwebs on the wall. Some staff forget they are part of a four star establishment ! The excellent cuisine is the saving grac The evening meals eserved by well trained staff add to the ambiance of the excellent chef. Finally the changing rooms at the swimming pool need someone on hand at least r times daily to ensure the floors and toilets are kept clean. My rating would be 3* not 4*”

“Good website experience, booking was easy and cheaper than booking direct with the hotel! I needed to change my booking, so phoned Country Hotel's quite late at night, phone was answered, spoke to Helena who updated my booking instantly, sent a confirmation email and follow up email; so very pleased with high quality of customer service. Would definitely use again and recommend”

“I have never used your website before, but I found it extremely easy to navigate and when I phoned the booking line to book my break I found the lady (who was called Kirsty I think) on the other end of the line very informed on the hotel I was about to book and very polite and helpful. Thank you for your help and I will gladly write a review after my break.”

“Booking easy what not explained is the following- The price of massages, £45 each for back neck and shoulder massage which is advertised for 30 minutes but only last 20 minutes. £90 for 2 for 20 minutes is crazy. Hotel excellent but food which is really tasty is very small portions with veg etc. The 35 allowance does not cover 3 courses unless you pick the cheapest on menu and drinks are extra. Should make some spa treatments included in price so there are no surprises.”

“My wife and I booked the Classic Break to stay at the Guyers House Hotel, Pickwick, Corsham to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. We found the Hotel very comfortable, the food excellent and the staff friendly, helpful and efficient. We were impressed also by the Reservation Staff at Country Hotel Breaks particularly Kirsty, she could not have been more helpful. Thank you Kirsty for arranging a very enjoyable weekend.”

“Hi, cannot fault the service completed over the phone, vert efficient and friendly. However found the website a bit cumbersome. E.g. It just kept reverting to hotels in Devon/Cornwall even though I was entering other regional locations.”

“Not many hotels to choose from within an hour and a half drive. Also would have liked the option of opting out of dinner at the hotel ( due to us being fussy eaters )”

“We made a late booking, the staff rang to let us know that out booking needed to be confirmed the next day, by 9.15 am they rang to let us know all was booked. It was a nice personal call, very courteous,”
