“The Bowden Hall Hotel room was very dark with only 1 small sash window allowing natural light into the room. Thats probably why the housekeeping staff missed a pair of black knickers, left in our wardrobe. The food from the £22, 3 course menu was poor. no tarragon in the tarragon sauce, and the sauce was brown in colour. My beurre blanc sauce had split and the supposedly cod, was a square of grey fish, devoid of any taste as it had presumably been frozen a long time. Wine was overly expensive and of poor quality, glass of merlot, £8.50, cab souvignon £8.00 a glass. So bad i had to leave mine. We left a day early and won't be returning.”
