“Horrible company, If I could give 0 stars i would, they took £500 of my money and I have heard nothing from them in months. I have sent multiple emails, myself and the solicitors and radio silence both from Alexis and Nicola, who prior to my payment were supposed to be handling my case and now nothing. Absolutely disgusting customer service, get your quote and go directly to the solictors yourself , DO NOT PAY them anything.”

Olu, You paid £495 to instruct a London based solicitor on the 3rd January 2024. At that time, you were sent a confirmation email confirming your solicitors details and that your property searches would be ordered to help speed up your purchase process. The following paragraph is highlighted in bold in your confirmation email: "If you have made payment for conveyancing searches or a conveyancing search pack as part of your Purchase transaction, we will now order these for you as soon as possible, to help speed up your transaction and deliver these directly to your conveyancer electronically as they complete." Unfortunately this property fell through and you decided to purchase another property. Searches are specific to the property that you are looking to purchase and as such you were advised that you would need to purchase a new set of searches for the new property you were looking to purchase. You also informed us that you were now looking to use Halifax as your lender for the purchase and that your chosen conveyancer, was not part of the Halifax lender panel, so we can look to move or assign your file to another of our network panel solicitors to handle this case for you. The last contact we have had from you was on the 9th April 2024, suggesting that there was "a lack of transparency" in our service. Could you please elaborate on the lack of transparency, considering you have an email from us, that is very clear with the details highlighted in bold regarding your searches, the process, the next steps and the full details of the conveyancer handling your case? Is there something else we could have done to provide more transparency? It is very unfortunate that your property fell through, but I'm afraid that is no fault on our part or your solicitors part. Can I also please be very clear, that we do not handle your case. We are a conveyancing comparison service that presents the results and options to you, so that you can make an informed decision on the best firm that suits your needs for your purchase. We are simply here to advise and present the options and refer the case to a qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer to handle your case. I hope this adds clarity for you and also provides clarity to other people that have read your review as to the service that we provide, along with the heavily discounted fees that we have negotiated with some of the best conveyancers in the UK. “Very good site. Helped me find a great quote and so far (3 days in), the ski tor seems like a good one and has good reviews. My only complaint is I intentionally selected that I didn't want the secret Solictor yet still I received it and they contacted me.”

“Conveyancing Calculator is fine as a company if it stipulates on their website that it is for residential conveyancing. I was able to put my details in but I was selling a commercial property and I needed quotes for that. The quotes I received were for a residential leasehold property and it was frustrating because when I wanted to instruct them to go ahead there was the glitch. These law firms would then say they don't do commercial conveyancing which would have been nice to know from the beginning.”
