Wish there had been something like this available when I was at School. It actually makes doing maths fun. The tutorials are very clear, concise and well presented. Whilst it is admittedly early days, I am very much looking forward to exploring this subject further. This site really tackles fears over mathematics and, used more widely, would help raise national standards of numeracy. Well done to the ConquerMaths - it does what it says on the tin!

We love conquer maths! It is simple and straightforward to use. The lessons are a great mix of audio and visual teaching - we love the calming Australian voice! Because the lesson part is usually only 3 - 5 mins long, it holds the child's attention, enabling them to start the task with the knowledge they need to succeed. The certificates are a bonus and a nice incentive

Hi Karen, Thanks very much for your positive review, we are delighted the program is working so well for you. You're not the first to fall in love with our Australian maths teacher Pat's voice. He has 10 children of his own in addition to being an accomplished maths teacher so we're never surprised! The lessons are specifically designed to hold children's attention while delivering the vital content they need to move forward. We have also long known that the combination of audio and visual learning is key to stimulating all types of learners. We're glad you like the certificates as well - printing them out seems to work the best, they look great on the family fridge! Thanks again for sharing your experience of ConquerMaths with us. Brilliant!! Both my girls and I love it. Makes learning maths less challenging and one can revisit lessons as often needed. Certainly cuts cost on tuition fees and is more effective, well done to all those who have worked hard to make this possible and thank you.

Hi Kosoko, Thanks very much for your positive review. We are delighted that you and your daughters love using the program and find it a less challenging and more effective way to learn maths at each individual's pace. We always say that, especially when compared to paying for a tutor, ConquerMaths is the best value for money we can possibly make it. Thank you also for your kind words about the work and dedication that goes into the program, they are much appreciated and you are certainly very welcome. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

Hi Mr Harding, Thank you for your positive review. We are delighted that our program is helping your daughter in her home schooling, we are very popular with homeschooling families as parents know they can be confident that the entire curriculum is covered in a comprehensive and effective way. We also know how important it is to home schooling parents to be able to track their children’s progress easily. We appreciate your recommendation, and we are pleased you and your daughter find the lessons so easy to understand. Thanks again. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

I bought these courses for my 3 children. My eldest 10 years is whizzing through the sections - he is in the top 3 in his class for maths - i am sure it is because of the help he gets from conquer maths. My daughter 6 is really struggling with maths at school so i decided to take her all the way back to reception and start again. we are filling in the gaps before things get really tough at juniors. she is doing very well and asks to do conquer maths. My youngest son 5 is working on year 1 level maths with ease - he is still in reception!!!! I can't give enough praise - I almost don't want too many people to know about this as my children are getting so far ahead!!!!!

Hi Ms Bowes, Thank you for your glowing review of ConquerMaths. We are delighted that all of your children are doing so well with the program. Your eldest should be proud of being in the top three in his class, and your youngest is doing great working at level 1 while in reception – this early success should give him confidence in mathematics throughout his academic career. You have clearly recognized the importance of taking your daughter back to reception, the program is designed so children who have struggled can do just this, and fill in the gaps in their knowledge. We're sure she will be up to speed soon, and it's great that she's asking to use the program, she sounds like a sensible girl. We loved your comment about almost not wanting to tell people about the program – we understand the logic, but please do nonetheless! We appreciate you sharing your experience and your positive comments, thank you. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

I use Conquer Maths (as well as workbooks etc.) as our maths curriculum for my Home Educated children. My Year 4 child who is very study-resistant is just finishing up the year 4 program, right on schedule. Doing his work on the computer suits him very well. My year 1 more scholarly child is just finishing up year 3. I even caught him trying one of the year 13 lessons "just for fun"!!! I love the way that we can dip in and out of the different levels, to go back to basics if they don't understand something, or to move on ahead if they are ready and eager. The short, bite-size lessons are just right for explaining the topics, and the immediate questions reinforce the learning. Unlike other, more expensive programs that we looked at, there are no fancy animations, although the times-tables space invaders has certainly helped them to learn their tables!

Hi Cathy, Thanks so much for your comprehensive and positive review. We are very popular with Home Educating families, for many of the reasons you list. The program is designed to accommodate all levels of “study resistance” in children, which of course allows them to move forward, and dip in and out at their own pace. It sounds like all of your children are doing well, which is wonderful – we love to hear about kids trying more advanced lessons “just for fun” and for their own interest. It really shows that they have no anxiety about the subject which is something we strive for. We do try and keep the program affordable as well, and we have always thought that fancy animations merely serve as a distraction from the actual learning. However, a little bit of fun with the times tables space invaders game obviously does no harm! Thanks again for sharing your family’s experience of ConquerMaths, we appreciate your great review. Hi Shumalia, Thanks very much for your review and your positive comments. We are very pleased to hear that your little one is hooked on maths, and we hope ConquerMaths is encouraging this attitude, that's great! We are pleased you find the report informative, it is designed to give as much comprehensive information as possible to parents. In response to your suggestion concerning mental maths, we do have topics on mental strategies, which is essentially mental maths in Year 2 and Year 3 and also some lessons in Year 5 and Year 6. If you visit http://www.conquermaths.com/contents/ and search on page for the word 'mental' it will show you the specific appropriate lessons. We hope this is helpful to you, and thanks again for your review. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

FANTASTIC, but when i was preparing my child for the 11+ we came up with more complex maths. Would like to see other subjects, like sciences, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning. I think this could be the future of teaching.Thank you sooo much for putting it together. It is such a good resource, specially for parents who can not afford 1 to 1 tuition. It is a revolution in the fact that everyone, regardless of their background can access so much for a very, very reasonable fee. Thank you again.

Hi Silvia, Thanks so much for your review and positive comments. We are delighted you understand why this program works so well for so many, we know how many students need this kind of help but parents cannot always afford or consider tuition. We feel it is indeed revolutionary, but we're too modest to say so :) You are not the first to request we diversify into other subject areas and we are definitely not discounting it, but for various reasons it is not happening right now, sorry about that. It would be a truly massive undertaking as you can imagine. In reference to your comment about revision for the 11+ (best of luck to your child by the way) - if you find the maths a little too simple at times, you always have the option of slowly exploring material for higher year groups and see how that goes, as every ConquerMaths student has access to all 1,400 lessons covering the whole curriculum. Thanks again for your review! Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

I can't give a true review as yet, because my Granddaughter is just starting her course. As a 15 year old who firmly believes she is hopeless at maths, she has to be encouraged to actually do the course. However I can say that the first lesson she did, with the help of an A level student (to give her confidence until she regains her confidence ) she did it on decimals - she said she doesn't understand decimals - well I left them working together and when I returned a little later she looked as if she had won the lottery - and managed 90%. I know the first lesson was easy - but that is how one learns - little baby steps. Hopefully she will start to try it on her own soon - and that is what i am hoping will happen - but until that happens I have arranged for this student to help her once a week. I am just thankful that at long last she has agreed to give it ago, and am hoping that once she regains her confidence she will enjoy doing this course and get the satisfaction that maths can give one. My own view is so far, so good - what I have seen has pleased me. I think it is clearly presented - but of course I haven't seen much of the lessons as yet. Hopefully I will give a proper review when I really get to grips with it all.

Hi Sally. Thank you so much for your review, we simply cannot wait to hear about how your Granddaughter continues to progress. All credit to you for being so involved in her education, and if she was so very firmly convinced that she was "hopeless" she's doing very well to give it another go. Having a little extra help when starting is probably not a bad idea for her, we often have parents playing the same role at first, but as you hope will happen with your granddaughter, students normally quickly regain their confidence and are happy to use the program independently. Getting 90% in her first test is fantastic, and you can pass that on to her from the ConquerMaths Team! We loved hearing that she looked like she'd won the lottery - it's the amazement that is lovely to see every time. Please do update us on her progress at a later date, and again thanks so much for sharing your experience with us. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

Hi Abena, We are sure she is, it is not unusual for us to hear about children working through an entire year of lessons in a relatively short time with ConquerMaths - once they gain confidence there's often no stopping them! Regards, The ConquerMaths Team

While she has been in Year 5, my daughter has gone through the Year 4 programme, and now she wants to stop 'because I'm sick of using the computer.' Now she does maths practice in a paper study book, after about 9 months of CM. My daughter was phobic about Maths and refused to have tuition. She said she would try CM and she liked it because she could do it without an adult present. When she started getting certificates, it boosted her confidence and she wanted to improve her scores. Her teachers say she has made 'massive' improvements this year, and she has moved into the middle maths set.

Hi Rachael, Thanks so much for your review. We are very pleased that your daughter has gone from being maths phobic to being confident enough to work independently without the program, that's brilliant! We are very pleased to hear that her teachers were also impressed, so well done to her. Of course, if at any point she feels she needs extra support, she has ConquerMaths waiting for her at any time, especially if she moves into more challenging topics. Thanks again for your straightforward feedback. Regards, The ConquerMaths Team
