“find it impossible to move around site after clicking onto a lesson or worksheet so have to log on multiple times. Material good though, but find it annoying to do more than one piece of work. No arrows or link to go back to main menu.”

There are back buttons at every point in ConquerMaths. There should never be any need to log out and back in again to get to another lesson. “An excellent resource to support my childrens education. Both my boys have dyslexia and require additional practice to retain maths concepts, we've tried numbershark which was hard to navigate. However, this programme is very compensive and the children are able to work independantly watching the tutorial and then working through the lesson. A much cheaper alternative to private tuition and the boys are able to work at their own pace.”

“Very well structured in to short informative modules. The visual element provides a much needed different approach compared to the average classroom. Being able to visually see the progress as each module is completed has given my daughters a lot of confidence. Would recommend giving it a go!”

“I have found this a very useful tool in preparation for SATS at age 11years. The extra work on screen has helped to give confidence. i would have liked the option of further work in the for of printed worksheets. Overall well worth the cost and a good experience for the pupil. Thank You.”

“The content seems pretty good, but I don't feel I'm getting value for money, because my 7 yr old doesn't want to do it. I thought that she might start to enjoy maths more, but it hasn't really been the case so far. I think the price is pretty steep, and will probably cancel soon...”

“The tutorials are very clear and helpful. I would recommend them, and only wish our children could be persuaded to make better use of the site! (The only problem I experienced was some difficulty cancelling the monthly payment when we wished to stop using the tutorials. The prcocess was not very straightforward for someone not used to this kind of thing, and resulted in having more lessons than we wanted.) But in my opinion it is very good.”

“My 4 and 6yr old have recently signed up, they both love it - its clear and calm explanation and reinforced questions have helped them understand complex topics speedily and enjoyably. The certificates after each topic are a brilliant way of spurring them on to the highest level of Platinum. Money very well spent!”

“We're extremely pleased with the maths tuition at Conquer Maths. Easy to understand tutorials. Tutor explains things so well that he makes anything understandable by his easy going, relaxed, clear approach. Can go back to each section at a later time if you don't finish them in one go which suits my daughter's ability to concentrate for short periods at present due to illness. Subjects broken down into nice short pieces. Makes maths so much more understandable. My daughter found the way of putting the answers in a bit time consuming at first but once she got the hang of it it's fine. We're very happy to continue with our subscription. Review by Mum on behalf of 11 year old daughter.”

“This is a clear, concise maths programme that allows your child to work through a topic on their own and then do some questions to see how much they have understood. The lessons are 'taught' on screen in a break down of simple steps - even those of us who dont 'get' maths can understand using these lessons - each step is clear and follows easily from the last. It helps understanding and knowledge of an entire concept not just a method. This is important as it helps to underpin mathematical knowledge as your child progresses. Each set of questions is graded and your child can earn certificates - this is quite an incentive for most children to have a visible demonstration of progress. Another benefit of this programme is the ability to stop and start, rewind etc this allows you to go back over something when you need to. I have 2 children using the programme - one in KS2 and one about to take GCSEs - we bought the CDs a couple of years back. This is an excellent programme as a stand-alone for home educators and as a supplement for those in school - in fact for those in school it is often a life-saver helping to explain those topics which have always been a bit murky! In my experience conquermaths is money well spent.”

“My 5yr old son is really enjoying learning maths using conquer maths and a brilliant touch is the certificate - he was thrilled with it. The thing I would suggest is that you put a voice over option on the questions at the end of the lesson as my son can't read yet. I'm not sure many just turned 5yr olds would be able to read and understand the word "submit" for example or "how many".”

“Brilliant, my daughter started working her way through the topics of the year before, we found a couple of gaping great holes which she has now filled, and a lot she really wasn't sure about, but now is. Conquer Maths has improved her maths confidence hugely. Can't recommend it enough.”
