“I went for conquer Maths as I saw how it had such an immerse impact on my neice's grades. I was so impressed, now using conquer for my nine year old son. So far I am happy with the simplicity it comes across and how my son seem to understand difficult concept he had not grasped before. I would recommend it to all parents.”

“I am well pleased with the tuition. The voice explaining the lessons before the exercises is very clear and the info. should be easily assimilated by learners. The exercises are both stimulating, colourful, and helpful in every way Even though the course is for young children, and I am 77 years of age [!] I am enjoying the course - for instance I needed reminding what ordinal numbers are, and I can see the word comes from order or sequence. Having done the reception section, I am looking forward to progressing on to subtraction and division, particularly division and it will be interesting to see how the current method will differ from that which I learnt 60 decades ago. The only thing I found a bit tedious was making my way from the end of an exercise, back to the next section, or group, but I seem to have found a slightly quicker way now. Best of all would be if one could merely click on a square at the bottom of the page, and the new group would automatically appear - this is not a complaint, merely an observation which has been requested of learners. Thank you very much. I am very happy with the course. Philippa”

We so love to hear about older learners successfully using the program, and really, it is appropriate for anyone from toddlers to pensioners as it goes all the way up to age 18 in the UK curriculum. You are very sensible to start in reception, it's amazing what we can forget over the years - as you say in your case 60 decades, presume you mean years of course - so your attitude is commendable! Well done for taking on this challenge, from all of our team. “My lad was finding maths difficult to the point that anxiety was kicking in over the pressure from his school and SATs tests looming. The trouble is, schools tend to keep pushing kids forwards even if they are not secure in their understanding. By using Conquer Maths, he was able to boost his confidence by doing the tests, finding his own topics to work on and following the easy to understand lessons. His confidence grew almost straight away. I would definitely recommend it to others.”

We 100% agree that it is detrimental to learning when students are pushed forward without demonstrating a full understanding of the previous topic, and this can lead to increased anxiety. “I very much like what I have seen so far. I would like to see some more questions on each subject for each year or Key stage as an option for the students. I think that further practice questions would enhance a students memory and understanding of the subject, unless I have missed something and that this is already available.”

Hi Garry, Thanks for your positive comment. Just to let you know, there are indeed many more questions available. After each set of interactive questions there is a button which allow students to answer more questions. Because the questions are randomly generated there are effectively an infinite number of questions available, as we also feel students benefit from more practice to enhance understanding and recall.
