“It's a great site but some of the advice was wrong and the details collected were not always accurate enough. We need much more advice on how to select the correct occupation when we work several jobs or are semi-retired. We need that advice to be correct (which it wasn't). I tried asking the insurer for more help but I found it too difficult to get a straight answer from them and the incorrect advice from Confused made it harder to understand what to do. I also found a wrong date entered for passing my driving test when I clicked through because Confused had just put 'over 20 years'. When I gave the exact date instead the premium went up. Every time I made a correction the premium went up. In the end I just gave up and went back to my old insurer where I was able to speak to a human. It was also weird that I also received an email afterwards, which I saw when it was too late, offering a much lower premium.”

“It was very confusing finding someone to speak to about what I needed (never did speak to a human )The next confusing part was how do I pay for said policy ..after trying for 3 days and 2 different friends I eventually got there. Apart from that I'm pleased with the price and that's why I was determined to use "confused.com"”

“Wanted insurance for a discovery sport, insurance company came back with a ridiculous figure , when I went back to them with the quote from confused .com , they done it for that price , which was £1300 cheaper than original figure”

“After my current car insurer tried to put my yearly renewal up over £200 , I didn’t think twice about choosing the cheapest car insurer on go compare that covered all my needs with extra cover. Hire car etc for a more reasonable price I hope greedy companies lose a lot of more switched on customers!”
