As we are a comparison website, we don’t calculate the prices you receive and these are all calculated and returned by our panel of insurance providers, based on the information you entered on our website. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. “I got a quote priced at just below £1500. After correcting an error with my date of birth (literally changed 15th to the 18th, month and the year stayed the same), the premium went up by £150. Terrible practices and I can’t believe the FCA is allowing this to continue happening especially with Consumer Duty rules being in force.”
