They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. I'm not happy the way you put back box and app in the quotes. You should add them in has extras if needed. I thought I had a cheaper quote until I got on the insurers webpage.

Can’t find accurate quotes for cars if I haven’t gotten my lisence yet it just shows majorly overpriced quotes it’s ridiculous

I have used Confused.com for several years and have always found it very helpful. On this occasion it moved to its best excellence, having reconfigurated the website with what looks like AI to my layman's eye. I got a quote priced at just below £1500. After correcting an error with my date of birth (literally changed 15th to the 18th, month and the year stayed the same), the premium went up by £150. Terrible practices and I can’t believe the FCA is allowing this to continue happening especially with Consumer Duty rules being in force.
