“Got a quote that suited us from Admiral, but when completing the deal at the garage, Admiral said they wanted to talk to us as we couldn't complete online. Apparently they couldn't offer the quote as we didn't have a named driver's driving licence number. So we dropped that driver and the premium went up by £60, we had no choice or time to go through the whole comparison rigmarole again so had to take it. My beef is, Admiral knew the licence number wasn't given for that driver so I believe they/you should not have quoted a product. Feel it's a scam to get the customer, knowing it's difficult for the customer to re-compare and complete on the spot - the dealer doesn't want to hang around with our problems does he? Admiral also kept banging on about taking up Multi car Insurance , which is ridiculous as it would have added about £300 more to the other family car;s insurance, and that's after the meagre discount on the Mazda”
