“Good service but need to watch out for firms farming out work to others. I obtained quotes online through this service and the best one was from a firm I had worked with before. When I contacted them they said they couldn't do the work unless I paid more (2.5x the quote) but would pass it on to another firm who would do it for the price quoted. The online service was not at fault in this but I was unhappy with the behaviour of the particular firm concerned and the fact that they could just pass the work on to a different firm.”

“The website works reasonably well, but seems to attract the "pests" in terms of companies. I thought I'd get mostly companies based in Cornwall, but all of the half-a-dozen companies which 100s of miles away with the nearest branch office for one of the companies being more than 2 hours drive away. They were all a bit cheaper than the local high street solicitors, but one wonders how they can save money when most of them sent out 3 or more emails with one sending FIVE within a few hours. 2 companies phoned as well as emailed. You'll certainly get cheaper quotes if you're happy for your conveyancing to be done by phone and post - if you're looking for local where you can get to the office to sign documents, etc. then it doesn't work.”

“Compare was good and very quick. But I did find that the quotes I received were so different. Therefore they took a long time to compare like for like quotes. But without Compare it would have taken a lot longer to Check through. I would also be a good extra to have a rating from other users”

“There's no standardisation of quotes and no transparency around what the solicitor/firm I choose will add later on. I had hoped an online comparison would make the decision less stressful but unfortunately if anything it was made worse by the lack of consistency. I am now using a firm that quoted £1042 via your service, I've paid £14.40 for an ID check (your service itemised that cost at about £12) and no one there was able to tell me if that was the cost included in the quote or not.”
