“Gary arrived early and performed ok , poor Martin got held up due to an accident for about 2 hours when he arrived he was obviously stressed out especially as he had to go back to Bury in the evening unfortunately it took awhile to get the punters on his side but he succeeded. Let’s see what happens next year ? With restrictions Regards Keith”

“I have used Lea Roberts on numerous occasions and he was at his sparkling best for my black tie Annual Dinner at Bradford Golf Club. It has obviously been tough for all after dinner speakers to survive through the pandemic without any work, but there was absolutely no sign of any rustiness from Lea, and he was quite superb. All attendees said he was the best speaker we have had ever!!! To the next time ...”

“Have used this company consistently for the last 15 years, and they have delivered all they said they would. Recently booked Brian O'Driscoll for a black-tie dinner for almost 400 guests, and despite being postponed twice due to Covid, it went without a hitch on the day. Excellent service and they are a big part of my business. Thank you again.”

“We recently had Lea Roberts perform at our wedding reception and just wanted to say thank you ! Lea did a spot between the afternoon and evening and it was just right to fill that "in-between" bit. He was very funny, very clean, didn't swear and had our guests (from age 6 to 60) in hysterics. We all really enjoyed it and it added an extra special bit to our very special day. Thank you Lea, from Darren and Kay vickerman”

“The speaker that we booked was an incredibly nice man. He arrived well ahead of time and was extremely professional and courteous with everyone whom he interacted with and he was excellent all-round company. Unfortunately, his comedy routine did not cut through to the audience, though admittedly they seemed keener to continue their on-table conversations rather than listen to any speaker who we could have presented on stage. Most of the jokes and punchlines did not ellicit a positive reaction from the audience.”

“Absolutely amazing night down at Baines hall we had such amazing feedback on the night and people are already asking when the next one is , Lea was so professional even when I asked him to make a grand entrance he made everyone part of his act we can’t wait to have him back again and maybe next time we will find a better photo to use for advertising lol”

“Just a quick message about my recent 60th Charity Comedy night. Well set up by After Dinner Speakers & Comedians Ltd but the standard of comedy from Pete Emmett, Josh Daniels and finishing with Lea Roberts was outstanding. The crowd were looking forward to a good laugh and we were not let down. The comedians added and probably made my 60th Birthday a real charity success.”

“Bruce was very good, arrived on time and did 45 minutes. The MC ( last-minute stand-in)was a let down although he was not helped by circumstances in the room from what I had been promised by you the agent. I have seen a lot better for the money the club paid. I was sat next to Lou and he is a most likable person and was a good conversationalist just did not free he was up to the job.”

They are easy to deal with both on the phone and by email and always keep you updated throughout the process right up until the day of the event. “Mick Miller did my 60th and now my 70th and wedding reception, held in a marquee, in our grounds, on the 29th August 2020. He arrived early and mingled with our guests, some of whom he has history with. His set was, as ever, exactly what was needed and enjoyed by all, even those who had never heard of him, but, for me, the nice touch was he stayed quite late, hopefully enjoyed himself, but was appreciated by all. Great bloke, great value (though don’t tell him that). Will book him for my 80th. Not forgetting all those at “After Dinner” battling away under very severe restrictions.”

“This is just a quick note to say thanks for arranging for Dr Xand to present the British Parking Awards. Xand simply excellent from the moment he arrived. His engagement with the design and AV team was much appreciated, especially as we had a new more animated show. My colleagues and several guests appreciated how he had a crafted a personal and very funny parking themed talk that also drew on the short list for the event. And he kept the whole show moving with charm and a real sense of connection with the audience. Throughout the day I was so impressed with his generosity in making time for the many parents and grandparents in the audience who wanted selfies, signed books and video messages for their kids and grandkids. Working with Mark at Comedians means we have been very lucky in our speaker selections over the years, and once again it was very much a case of people saying 'that speaker was the best one yet!'. Xand has set the bar even higher for the next awards. I would highly recommend Xand for other awards events.”
