Ordered chocolates for wife for Valentines. Balsamic flavour did not go down well! Not that impressed with taste or quality especially given high price. Would not buy again.

Nice fillings, poor identification of chocolate types compared to the inserted list of chocolates, someone didn't really take the time to "paint" them properly. The chocolate coating was poor, didn't melt in the mouth, tasted almost plastic

Tried to buy as a gift but system is so confusing, there was no opportunity to add message or wrapping. Only able to send to recipient but you now think I’m the recipient not the customer. Wasn’t entirely sure if it would even get there. I’m not ClareK!

Chocolate excellent, customer care terrible, do not reply or answer phone. Order was delivered late, advent calendar on 6th December!! Order well in advance.

So glad that you love our chocolate but sorry to hear the rest. We don't have any record of you getting in touch via email and as a very small team, there's not always someone available to answer the phone, so we apologise that we didn't get a chance to provide you with any customer care. However, we agree about ordering our Advent Calendars in advance if you can. If you order on 28th November and select our standard 3-5 day delivery service, there's good chance your delivery will not arrive for the start of Advent!

Great looking plant based products on the website. Made an order and it did not arrive. Emailed company and was told order probably dispatched without a courier label. Order was re-sent and arrived at its destination.....maybe they forgot to send the first one? Who knows. However, not a good first impression.

Oh no, we're sorry to hear this. Our fresh selection boxes include seasonal, new and annual favourites encased in both dark & milk Gold Great Taste Award-winning chocolates. We carefully choose our favourite chocolates of the moment for our boxes, all handcrafted fresh here at Chococo in Dorset... and we pull out all the stops to make them look and taste divine! We're so sorry to hear that your egg arrived damaged. This is really sad and clearly disappointing, and certainly not how we want our lovely chocolate to arrive. We would encourage customers to contact us if they notice anything wrong with their order as soon as it's received so that we have a chance to put things right.

Good quality chocolate but unfortunately the flavours were not easily detectable, most chocolates had no flavour at all.

Oh no, we're sorry to read this. All of the chocolates in the Award Winners Sharing box are winners of either Great Taste, Academy of Chocolate or International Chocolate Awards. Perhaps you had a cold coming?!

Unfortunately I clicked on chococo when googling vegan chocolate...what I did not realise, and this is mainly my fault, was that the other products on display in the website for not vegan. I ended up buying a non vegan chocolate box for my wife, a total failure.

We're sorry to hear this. We do a lot of chocolates which are vegan friendly - both dark and oat m!lk - as well as milk chocolate, so it's unfortunate that you didn't notice that on our website. Anything marked vf is vegan friendly.

I gave various Chococo chocs to my kid in their stocking. All three of them said it tasted a bit bitter and not great. It may be that they are used to Dairy Milk and just don't like the change. I also tried some and didn't love it.

We're sorry to hear this, and you're probably right. Sadly there are so many nasties in cheap chocolate (sugar, palm oil, emulsifiers, flavourings plus a touch of slavery), but it's definitely the sugar that children tend to be addicted to, so our chocolate will taste different to them. It's the same for adults too, but understanding more about what's in your chocolate and where it comes from can help you make better informed decisions and get used to different tastes.

I bought this to be sent to a friend in a nursing home. It did arrive in time but without the message I asked to go with it, so my friend had no idea I had sent it

Oh no, we're sorry to hear that the box of chocolates you sent arrived without a gift message. We can see from your order that there was no message saved to the order; if there had been, it would have shown on your Order Confirmation. The likely case is that you added the message but did not use the 'Save' button. For any future orders, you just need to click on the Save button once you've composed your message.

I ordered the chocolate salami as it looked great and realistic with the netting and accurate colouring. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive after a week of ordering. Since it was for a gift and the gift date had passed I was a little disappointed also as I had not received any notification on the order at all. After contacting via PayPal I had a response and the item arrived a few days later. The problem is I had asked for a refund as the item was no longer suitable but it was sent anyway. When the item arrived is was poorly packaged but more importantly it did not look like the image that drew me to it in the first place with no netting and presented a lot differently.

We're sorry to hear about the problems with your order. I've had a look into your delivery and can see that your order was despatched a little later than anticipated, however we don't guarantee delivery dates and we would always suggest that if you need something for a special date that you select our first class delivery service. When you contacted us by email we advised that your order had already left us (and we had in fact even upgraded your delivery to First Class) so we were unable to stop it, but we suggested that the delivery be refused, and a refund would have been processed once Royal Mail returned it to us. Alternatively, you are always able to cancel an order within 30 days and we'll even send you a returns label and refund in full. We are sorry to hear about the appearance of the item. If you had let us know at the time, and sent some pictures, we could have looked into this for you (or again, you could have returned the item for a refund). Each Salami is wrapped by hand in foil and parchment paper and finished with genuine butcher’s twine for a truly authentic feel, so we're sorry if this wasn't the case. We don't want any unhappy customers and our Customer Care team are here to help if things go wrong, but we can't put things right if we're not given the opportunity.

The chocolates were good but the service terrible. I ordered these in October for delivery in December for a birthday. The date passed and no chocs arrived and neither could they give a date for delivery, they finally arrived 4 days later. Never again.

I bought the chocolates for my wife for Christmas. The whole idea is that it's a surprise. The issue I have is your packaging. The words 'CHOCOCO' written all over the box ruined any surprise. I can't be the only person's surprise you ruined at Christmas with your advertising packaging, but you must have worked this out. I'll be looking elsewhere for my plastic free chocolates from now on.

We're for your frustration about us using branded boxes. Our business mentors recommended that our boxes should be branded to show pride in our brand. This is in line with many other premium businesses, especially in the food and drink sector. We make it clear on our "Chocs Away" email that the order will be packed in a branded box so that you can get to the door first if it's a surprise, and the information is also included in the FAQ's on our website. Whatever type of box your order is packed in - branded or unbranded - it will always have a Royal Mail tracking label on which includes our return address, so all it would take is one look at the label to see the box is from Chococo, and there's no way to avoid this. When you place your order, you can always request delivery to a different address - neighbour, friend, work address etc - and we can also change the delivery address up to the day before your order leaves us, and sometimes even on the day of despatch. There are also options with delivery once you have the Royal Mail tracking number as you can change your delivery options on Track & Trace using the Update Delivery Options button.

Chococo chocolate is usually really lovely and enjoyable to eat. However, this year I purchased the reef and was really disappointed. The reef looks really pretty and would make a stunning centrepiece. However the eating experience was not as expected. It was difficult to cut to portion, difficult to eat in as much as cutting into it on the plate wasn't possible without it shattering. Picking it up and biting it was equally difficult. It felt like the content was lacking some moist components, dried fruit for example. Really dissapointed as previous purchases from Chococo have been a delight.

Our Advent Calendar is definitely like no other, and is presented in a stunning box with a numbered overlay. This is our USP and the photos and description on the website clearly show this. Featuring multiple award winning Chococo favourites celebrating the finest chocolates & seasonal ingredients. "Brilliant value for money", Olive Magazine, Best Advent Calendars - October 2023, "This luxury calendar is like no other", BBC Good Food - October 2023. Need we say more.

Ordered honeycomb clusters and there was hardly any honeycomb just chocolate. So disappointed given the cost of them.

Sadly the gooey brownie was dry and not at all like a brownie, more like a dry sponge. A birthday present for my husband that was very disappointing.

Very expensive £6.50 for a handful of chocolate is OK if you are financially comfortable sadly most people are not.
