Faulty product and no real help when I fed back.

Sorry you were unhappy with our response

The chocolate was lovely but the flavour combinations of the summer collection weren't appetising. The lemon was lovely but the others weren't pleasant I'm afraid

I order three easter eggs for delivery with personalised notes. I was very pleased with the chocolate and quality. However, I was disappointed that two out of three gifts were posted without gift notes. This was very disspointing as my gifts turned up for my nephews and future in laws without them knowing it was from me! I was a loyal Hotel Chocolate customer and the lack of notes makes me consider going back to them over this independent business. Hopefully the custmer service gesture to makeup for the lack of gift notes will stop any contemplation I feel about my future orders.

Unfortunately my order was incomplete and I only received one egg (which is, as yet, untried). On a positive note, the company readily acknowledged their error when I raised the matter and as they were, by this time, out of stock of Easter eggs promptly refunded the total payment. I would like to try to use this company again in the future.

Chocolate tastes amazing, but egg was completely destroyed in shipping. Packaging completely inappropriate, just some scrunched paper.

I didn't enjoy these at all, mostly pralines, and some of them i actually spat out into the bin! They didn't taste particularly of fresh ingredients, just your run of the mill chocolates, there was only one that I liked, oh dear! I won't be recommending or rebuying.

Dear Christopher, We are sorry to hear that you were so disappointed with your Milk Chocolate Selection Box and we are also a bit confused as this selection is not mostly pralines! There is a wide selection within the box including fresh Dorset cream truffles, fresh Dorset cream ganache filled domes, crunchy honeycombe, hazelnut in a unique dark milk chocolate, sweet caramelised white chocolate with cocoa nibs and only a few pralines, of which only 2 are unflavoured in any way. We are very open about the flavours in this selection box which are all listed on the product page for this item, they are all freshly made and the fresh cream chocolates contain fresh ingredients by definition! We are sorry that you didn't find them to your taste and hope that you find another brand that suits you better. Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

I ordered Easter chocolates and they were delivered a month before Easter. Sitting here going stale. I can’t really see why you don’t value your chocolates enough to ensure they are consumed fresh

Dear Barbara, Thank you for your review but please don't worry - your eggs are not going to go stale between now & Easter as they do not contain any fresh cream chocolates. We are a little confused by your feedback to be honest as we clearly state on our website which of our products need to be eaten quickly as they contain chocolates made with fresh ingredients and therefore have a short shelf life (ie: our selection boxes), but none of our Easter range contain any such chocolates. This means that they can be delivered promptly to ensure they arrive safely and be enjoyed several months after Easter if preferred (not that many last that long!). Whilst they do not contain fresh cream chocolates, they are actually freshly made (& made a lot more recently than most commercial Easter eggs which will have been made months ago). All you have to do is keep your eggs somewhere away from direct heat, sunlight or strong odours and they will taste wonderful. We hope you enjoy them! Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

Unfortunately, this is the message I received from my dad re the chocolates, I was really disappointed.... The chocolates; did receive them (and ate them) but they were strange, particularly difficult to extract from the box, little plastic nests gripped them tight, when arrived at mouth a range of the weirdest tastes I could imagine ‘chocolates’ producing, I did earnestly pursue a recognizable taste through the entire box (failed) and wondered whether I should warn you about them - this seemed churlish considering they were a thoughtful and kind Christmas gift (that you might like!) - they do have warning they are without preservatives and must be consumed immediately, I just obeyed ...... previous chocolates were delicious, particularly Lillies(?)

Poor quality chocolate and the salted one was far too salty. Very disappointing.

These chocolate were okay. I was disappointed with the selection of flavours that were actually in the box. A lot of flavours for example mulled wine were not included at all. I appreciate and I was aware that all chocolate varieties might not be in the box due to availability and demand. However a lot were missing and the ones that were included were either repeated in each layer or only one of each chocolate . Therefore making it not a good choice for sharing. Overall disappointing.

Fine presentation and good media publicity painted a picture of excellence that was not forthcoming when the chocolates arrived. Despite painting an attractive image in the box the fillings were a disappointment without a wow factor that one had been led to believe would be present. The disappointment was made even greater by the cost. “Excellence” is a constant challenge and I would urge Chococo to raise their standards so that can rightly achieve such an accolade.

Dear Alistair, Thank you for taking the time to send us your review but we are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy our chocolates. We constantly strive for 'excellence' as you suggest we should and regularly enter both national & international fine food & chocolate awards to benchmark ourselves against the best chocolatiers in the world and to date, we have won 100 awards for our creations. We are also very competitively priced vs our competitors, especially given the fresh handcrafted & hand-packed nature of our chocolates. We will however, take your comments on board in our team review next week and will continue to keep striving to delight our customers in 2021 and beyond. We are just sorry to hear that they weren't to your taste. Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

Some chocolates on the enclosed key were not present in our box which just added to the confusion of there being very little correspondence between the pictures in the key and the reality of the appearance of the chocolate. A mystery box resulted - which my husband gave up on after the third chocolate proved to be not what he thought he had chosen. A great disappointment given the high price of these chocolates and the interesting flavours on offer.

Dear Ann, Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. We take all feedback on board and will include your comments in our team review next week. We are sorry to hear that you found the menu difficult to match the pictures to the chocolates - we do try very hard to ensure the images match but as the chocolates are hand-decorated, sometimes they can vary slightly. This is something we will look at again and thanks again for taking the time to give us your feedback. We hope that you enjoyed them none the less. Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

Very disappointed, paid extra to have chocolates delivered on a specific day, near to Christmas, and they were delivered straight away, 3 weeks early.

Dear Lynn, I have checked in with Andy who is looking after customer service and he confirms that we refunded your postage as soon as we were aware of the issue as we fully appreciate that we got it wrong sending it out earlier than your preferred delivery date. He wants to reassure again that the box you selected is not one of our fresh selection boxes, so will be absolutely fine to enjoy over Christmas. In fact, given all the challenges that Royal Mail is having this December, it may actually have been a good thing that you received the box a little earlier than originally planned. We hope that the chocolates are enjoyed and wish you a Happy Christmas. Best regards, Claire Burnet co-founder

Absolutely gorgeous chocolate, probably one of the best I’ve tried, however appalling packaging, chocolate robots previously ordered were smashed, and even with a replacement order of chocolate fish and chips (due to the first one being smashed), was also smashed to pieces. Devastated and ruined a present which is a shame because your chocolate is divine and worth recommending based on taste alone.

Dear Megan, We are really sorry that you have had such a bad experience and that your replacement fish & chips have also arrived broken. We wish you had let us know by email last week after you received it, but at least we now know and will be raising this with Royal Mail. There is clearly something is going very wrong in the delivery system from us to you here. We have been posting our fish and chips out for years, and know how to wrap them! We will give you a refund as we would be reluctant to post anything else out to you given what has now happened a few times to you specifically. We do take all feedback on board and act on it, so whilst you are clearly really annoyed with us, this is appears to be due to something that is beyond on our control and we will investigate it with Royal Mail.

I'm afraid we didn't enjoy the chocolates. The flavours are all a bit odd to be honest. Unfortunately I ordered three months for my dad for father's day so we are stuck with them.

Chococo failed to reply to two of my emails in spite of the fact that the website requested to submit queries via email rather than calls due to staff shortages. Underwhelming customer service. Chocolates nice enough. Overpriced perhaps.

I expected something special seeing as Chococo came up `Best' on some site (Telegraph?). Disappointed. Nothing special about the product and did not seem value for money.
