The two halves of the egg were separated in the box. Plus some of coffee beans had melted at some stage and Chocolate was spread on the inside of the box. Not what I would have expected.

The egg was a lot smaller than I thought for the price and after I placed the order the delivery charge was added of £8.95 which is well over priced. My daughter enjoyed the egg but I would not order from you again

Hi Sue, I'm so sorry to hear you were left disappointed with your order. The size and weight of our products are referenced in the description section on every product page so I will make sure this is made clearer to avoid any confusion in the future. In regards to our delivery charges, the next available delivery date is not always the cheapest so there would've been an option to have your order at a slightly later date for a smaller cost, starting at £3.95. I had been sent numerous emails before Valentine's day reminding me to place an early order. Having done this, and although it was not guaranteed that the chocolate heart for my husband would arrive on the actual day, I had hoped that it might arrive the day before or failing that the day after. In fact it arrived on the 17th of February!!! Having paid £4.95 postage for a £9.99 chocolate, I was very disappointed. I did ring to ask what was happening and was told that there must have been a problem with Royal Mail. I send out important documents regularly which weigh more than my package did and pay £2.90 for signed for special delivery which guarantees delivery by noon the next day. Very disappointing and will do something different next year.

We are very sorry that the Royal Mail delivery did not arrive on the expected date on this occasion. We normally have a high level of successful deliveries on the expected date but unfortunately it is out of our control even when choosing the first class delivery option. We do take note of orders that don't arrive on time so we can continually ensure that we are using the correct delivery partner. Our postage charges also reflect that our products need to be sent as parcels, which are more expensive than letters, and are less dependent on weight than the size of product. Upon reading positive reviews on the product, I eagerly awaited my order of the assortment box for £19.95. I had an email to say that if I spent £20 or more I would be eligible to get £5 off my first order. I contacted chococo to ask if there was a possibility to use this offer on an order that was 5p off - I was told I couldn't much to my disappointment. I went ahead and ordered the selection box and although they looked fantastic the taste and choice of flavours did not live up to expectation. although there were over 30 flavours advertised in the booklet only 20 of these were in the box - nut not the 'better' flavours. I had 50% of the box as dark chocolates which were tasteless, bitter and unappealing. I much prefer the milk and white and would prefer more of this flavour. Many of the flavours did not reflect well and were not that punchy or bold. Unfortunately I wont be ordering again from chococo and will be sticking to Lauden Chocolate in future. Sorry!

We are sorry that we did not meet the expectations for your order. Our chocolates are freshly made year round and the menu explaining the different flavours needs to cater for any of the seasonal chocolates that may be included in the selection box. We find that customers like the mix of milk and dark chocolates, but we offer selection boxes of just milk chocolate or just dark chocolate for those who prefer one or the other which may have suited your taste a little better. I bought these to enjoy over Christmas with our family (12 people in total). Unfortunately, the chocolates were not enjoyed by anyone. The flavours were too strange, unusual, and frankly a poor selection of varying fillings. Also, the chocolate labelling was aweful. We all struggled to work out which chocolates we were eating, and which ones weren't even in our box to start with! I feel very disappointed given we normally enjoy tasting many different chocolates, and won't be buying these again or recommending them to anyone.
